I will introduce you to the Byzantine art and history showing and describing you the amazing mosaics of the basilica.
I will introduce you to the Roman period in Ravenna and you will be completely merged into the mosaics being inspired by the starry sky as Cole Porter who then wrote his famous song Night and Day. Walking in the city center from one monument to the other.

I will tell you the story of our great poet Dante Alighieri in Ravenna and all the vicissitudes of his bones in the past centuries.
You will discover the Arianism and the chapel of the palace of Theodoric, the King of Ostrogoth, and be amazed by the golden atmosphere of the basilica. Walking in the city center from one monument to the other.
We will pass through the main square having the chance to see the Town Hall and the Venitian columns with the statues of the patrons of the city.

ABSOLUTE MUST DO - especially with CRISTIANA as your guide. She is extremely warm and friendly in addition to being exceptionally knowledgeable about all of the magnificent sights in Ravenna. This was our first time in Ravenna and Cristiana not only provided an exceptional tour experience she gave us a great deal of information about the culture and everyday life of Ravenna. We walked at a comfortable pace, our guide Christiana went out of her way to meet us at the Bus Shuttle Terminal, she also pre purchased tickets to the 3 main Churches to which I reimbursed her, they were so beautiful just Amazing, the Mosaics were unbelievable, Christiana was so knowledgeable & spoke in detail about everything. I loved this tour. The only upsetting part is that I didn’t realise that I had to walk all the way back to the Bus Terminal on my own, I guess this was my bad for not having researched the address where we were being left, but managed to get back in time however I did find it extremely stressful as I had my 81 year old Mother with me. Loved the tour & all the Gorgeous Mosaics! Many Thanks

We had a wonderful time visiting the Mosaics. Our guide Christina was very informative with explaining all of the history. She even recommended a great place for lunch.
