I purchased a tour directly from this company’s website to visit the zoo at 10:00 AM with a Spanish-speaking guide. What I received was completely different: a tour starting at 2:30 PM and no Spanish-speaking guide. By 2:30 PM it is already completely dark in Lapland, and the zoo has no lighting, making the visit essentially useless. I requested a refund for the service that was not delivered. After the tour, I attempted to contact the company multiple times by email and WhatsApp, and received no response at all. This company is not trustworthy. I used several other tour companies during this trip and had absolutely no issues with any of them — this was the only company that failed to deliver what was promised and ignored all attempts at contact. There are many reliable alternatives available. I strongly recommend avoiding this company.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify several important points. The tour you booked was operated during the peak winter season in Lapland, a period characterized by very limited daylight hours. By early afternoon, darkness is a natural and unavoidable condition in this region. Additionally, wildlife parks in Finland operate with minimal artificial lighting in order to comply with strict animal welfare, environmental protection, and conservation regulations. This applies to all visitors and tour providers and cannot be modified by our company. Regarding the tour schedule and guide language, all departure times and available languages are confirmed based on operational availability and are communicated prior to the tour. While we always aim to accommodate language preferences, availability cannot be guaranteed in every case, especially during high season. We regret that the experience did not align with your expectations. However, the conditions encountered are inherent to Arctic travel and were not the result of service failure. We remain committed to clear communication and continuous improvement, and encourage guests to contact us directly should they wish to discuss specific concerns.
Our guide Franco was amazing! He made the whole day great. Zoo was worth the trip. We didn’t get to see the polar bear but the owls, wolves, moose, Wolverine and muskox were pretty cool!
A good workout but definitely would not be at the top of the priority list in terms of experiences. Too few variety and animals to see, to brave the cold. Guide who took us was friendly though. She brought us around and tried to make the walk as enjoyable as possible. BBQ was nothing special - standard sausages, marshmallow and blueberry juice.
Nice hike. The zoo is immersed in a truly enchanting landscape! Our guide Noemi was very knowledgeable and very kind. It is a reliable and precise agency. Recommended!
We did the Ranua Zoo trip with Christian. The ride to the zoo is around an hour (on good roads in late summer, may be longer in winter), and another hour back, so be prepared for that. The Zoo is great, some beautiful large enclosures and many fascinating animals. We spent 3 hours at the zoo, it's a lot if walking, but that was fine with us. Our trip, in the quiet season, meant we had the zoo almost to ourselves, which was amazing. Very peaceful and enjoyable.
Amazing experience with guides Julien and Matteo on our visit at the zoo , during the trip my wife was not feeling well at one point and Julien was very attentive he immediately brought us back to the car for her to rest . You guys are wonderful !
