We had an amazing time. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, passionate about the jungle and incredibly helpful. We pretty much had the lodge to ourselves as it was a quiet time. This was awesome. The morning boat ride to the salt lick was particularly memorable. Months down the line we are still thinking about what we saw and how it opened our eyes to the stunning beauty of nature.
Dear guest, we have always believed that moving out of our comfort zone opens our eyes and allows us to see our world differently. Each place we visit when traveling opens our minds even further and allows us to see our world from a different perspective. We don't know why, with the use of social media and easy access to the internet everywhere, we increasingly believe the world is in our hands, forgetting that it's out there, where you can see and experience it. We thank you very much for your visit and hope to see you again at our hostel with a slightly longer program. Best regards.
We stayed at Posados Amazonas and Tambopata Research Center and loved both places. The food was better at Tambopata and the manger there, Aisa was wonderful, always checking to see if we needed anything; very sweet and courteous. We had a suite at Tambopata which was absolutely beautiful; the lanai was as large as our large room with an outdoor shower, tub, sofa and dining table surrounded by plants; truly paradisiacal. The highlight of our trip was our guide, BORIS GUERRA. He was with us our entire stay in the Amazon and couldn’t have been more accommodating. He has an encyclopedic memory of all the birds (which there are hundreds) monkeys, trees, plants, insects mammals, just to name a few of the many items in his big brain. He possesses a keen eye and is able to spot all of the above in an instant, long before we could or even would. We were able to see a plethora of monkeys and a multitude of birds under his guidance. We’re bird nerds and couldn’t have been more pleased. Boris has a wealth of knowledge of Amazonian history and people as he grew up in the Amazon, his mother’s family are native Amazonians. He’s got a great personality so if you go, you should request him, you’ll agree with me I’m sure. C. Kellman
