Fabulous but very long day. Everything went according to plan. Be aware of the very strong winds at Quilotoa. Have a scarf or a mask. I was not prepared for the amount of fine sand all over the trails apparently put in place for the donkeys. This made the decent more difficult. Walking sticks are recommended. My guide was fabulous, and the entire tour truly worth my efforts. I highly recommend.
I had an amazing time visiting Quilotoa with the rest of the group. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the whole experience was unforgettable. What made the trip even more special was Dani. He was incredibly attentive throughout the entire tour, always making sure everyone was comfortable, informed, and having a great time. His kindness, professionalism, and positive attitude truly made a difference. I highly recommend this tour, especially if Dani is your guide!
Lots of time in the bus, but the hike and views (and alpacas!) were worth it! Ended with a tasty lunch.
Quilotoa is one of the most stunning places I've visited. The crater lake is absolutely breathtaking, and the views throughout the day were incredible. If you're visiting Ecuador, this is an experience you shouldn't miss. A special thank you to our guide, Jessica. She was friendly, knowledgeable, organized, and made the entire trip enjoyable. She shared interesting information about the region, kept everyone on schedule without making us feel rushed, and was always happy to answer questions. She truly made the experience even better. One word of caution for future travelers: please double-check your change if you're exchanging or receiving cash during the first pit stop at the store that sells coffee and gaudy trinkets near the ATM. At approximately 8:58 AM on June 29, 2026, I did not receive the correct amount of change back after a cash transaction. It wasn't enough to ruin an otherwise fantastic day, but it's worth paying attention and counting your money before walking away. The lady was also super super rude and dismissive about it. Overall, I still highly recommend this tour because Quilotoa is spectacular and Jessica was an outstanding guide. Just be mindful of any cash transactions.
A beautiful place! Jorge from Quito tour bus was our guide, he provided us with excellent service, super friendly, and with incredible energy and availability! Highly recommended!
Mauro and Jorge were very kind!!
We had a wonderful trip to Quilotoa Lake. Safe transfer and a great guide.
I was on the ‘Quilotoa Lagoon full day’ tour, with our amazing guide Irene, who was very knowledgable about Quito and Ecuador, past history and present. Irene was very friendly, helpful and happy to answer any of my questions. The tour included amazing views of the lagoon, and an option of trekking down to the water level, which was great, although slightly difficult due to the sandy ground. Decent walking boots are definitely required. Trekking back up though, was definitely tough, due to the sheer ascent and the altitude (donkeys are available though, to take you back up to the top, if it's too much of an ordeal). The tour was all at an unrushed pace, with plenty of opportunities for photos. We had a fantastic lunch, with really delicious food (great vegetarian options). Great communication before the trip, confirming time and pickup location. I would thoroughly recommend this tour, and | learnt and saw so much, with my amazing, friendly and smiley guide.
This was an amazing tour, I am so glad I did it!! It was the last one of four that I booked whole in Quito, and even though it was the longest drive out of all of them, it was sooo worth it!! Yessica (guide) and Mauricio (driver) were both amazing, they both made sure we all had a wonderful experience!!
Tour guide was super friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend others to do. Wonderful views and taste of culture.
