Amazing Wine Tour experience

We were picked up and travelled around with Anna for the day. Along the way she shared her knowledge of the local area and made sure we were all settled and ready at each winery. She even made sure we had received enough for lunch, offering to organise some more food. Each of the stops were a perfect mix with each other and the hosts were knowledgeable and accommodating. Would highly recommend booking with them for the wine tour!

Operator response

Kia ora, A great day out on the wine tour — the family-owned wineries each bring something a little different, and Anna clearly made sure you were well looked after throughout. So pleased you'd recommend it! Ngā mihi nui

5 Stars - Wine Tour with Award winning Pinot Noir

Awesome wine tour! Our guide (Marie) was fantastic and the group was so much fun. We visited a great selection of award winning wineries, all perfectly timed, and the tastings felt really personal - we were the only tour group there each time, which made it even better. The service was amazing, the Pinot Noirs were delicious, and the commentary along the way made the scenic drive even more enjoyable. Easy 5 stars!

Operator response

Kia ora Anne-Marie, This is exactly what the wine tour is all about — Marie, great company, and tastings that feel like you've been welcomed into someone's home rather than shuffled through a cellar door. The family-owned wineries of Central Otago have a way of doing that, if we may say so ourselves. So glad you had such a wonderful day. Ngā mihi nui

Delightful tour with Marie

Our guide for the day was Marie who was very friendly and knowledgeable of the central Otago wine region and wineries we visited. She even had a wine named for her at Brennan winery which was one of the best tasting on our tour. Roz from Brennan was especially friendly to our small group and we had the best time chatting with her. She made you feel right at home and really enjoyed their wines. We had lunch outside at Waitiri wines and had a delicious cheese/olive fruit plate and plenty of wine. The other two wineries were pretty nice and rounded out the day. Our thanks to Marie for a wonderful day!

Operator response

Kia ora, What a lovely recap of the day — Marie will be so pleased to read this. The family-owned wineries really do bring something special to the experience, and it sounds like Brennan and Waitiri in particular hit the mark. A wine named after your guide is a pretty good sign you're in good hands. Ngā mihi nui

Great wines, great chat!

This was a marvelous wine tour, going to four wine cellars, including an excellent cheese, pate and charcuterie lunch, coupled with freshly baked bread in one of them. We were collected from, and returned directly to, our hotel in Queenstown. Our guide, Marie, was very knowledgeable and really friendly. The chat between the participants in our group was great also. In all of the cellars, the wines were superb, and well curated. I have given it five stars, but if I could, the tour would have got ten. It is a small world when you meet folks with links to your home county....such a wonderful day!

An excellent day with Marie, our guide and Driver. The wineries that we visited were boutique, yet well rounded. The wines that we tasted were of a good grade in selection. Would definitely do this again. Marie was very engaging and knowledgeable.

Fabulous!!

It was our tour guide Allys first tour 🤩🥳 and she was the BEST! We had great communication from the company regarding a pick up change. We thoroughly enjoyed the bus ride with Ally telling us local stories and pointing out things of interest. The first three vineyards were lovely (Jessie agreed we needed barstools at Chard Farm😉). Gabi at Waitiri Creek Wines was great and the herb butter on the cheese plate is to die for!! Brennan Wines was our fav wine of the bunch, (might have been the extra glasses of Rose we drunk at Waitiri that helped that though..) Petronella was so knowledgeable. While the wines at the last stop Nockies Palette Wines, were our least favourite, the setting and sommelier (whos name Ive forgotten sorry!!) were great!! #SDShareandWin #SouthernDiscoveries
