Itinerary
We will start with a short hike where we will take you to find sloths and many other animals in their natural habitat , we will learn and talk about them while we walk through the beach trails jungle and different viewpoints of punta uva. You will hear stories about shipwrecks, indigenous wisdom and many curious facts, mixed with the history of puerto viejo and Costa Rica in general. After the hike we go back to the meeting point for a small break and snack to cool down and relax a bit, then we will take the kayaks and head to the the river where we will also see sloths but other amazing wildlife such as monkeys, iguanas, turtles, different birds species and a lot more!

Wonderful tour! Alex was an amazing guide, with a keen eye to spot wildlife. We’ve never been so close to a sloth. The entire family had a great time. Highly recommend!
This was a great experience would do again. Alex was a great guide answered my many questions and was good at pointing out wildlife. Also everything was as described in the listing that was all great too.
Its was nice we got a message the day before our trip with the directions of the location, which were really helpful. Alex was a great guide with a lot of knowledge about the animals, fauna and history. I lnew all the fine place to look at slots and monkeys. He took all the time in the world to let us see things and at the end of the trip he had a fresh coconut for us. Long story short i will recommend this trip and ask for Alex when you book. He is the best.
Alex was an amazing guide for kayaking! He did such a good job pointing out all sorts of plants and animals and was clearly very well studied in the history of Costa Rica! He even took some great photos for us. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be back.
Truly a must do experience if you’re in Town. Alex was so nice and knowledgeable. He made the experience personalized and made sure to keep an eye out for all of the cool things we came to see. We saw several sloths, iguanas, and turtles. We learned a lot about the area and the indigenous people surrounding it. He had fresh coconut water afterwards and we went on a quick hike to see a view point of the ocean. 5/5. I would do it again.
We had a great time on the tour. Alex was lovely, super knowledgeable, and great at spotting animals!! We saw three and two-toed sloths, howler monkeys, spider monkeys, variety of bird species including toucans, bats, lizards, turtles. A great experience!!

It's been a long time, we loved it. Alex is a very friendly and friendly boy and also has a lot of knowledge of the place. If you go through this area do not hesitate to do the tour. The river area with the kayak is impressive and then a nice walk to the viewpoint. Throughout the tour you will see many animals and insects.
Robert was our guide who was so knowledgable and informative. The tour was amazing. We saw a lot of turtle and monkeys and some sloths sleeping in the tree. We loved kayaking through the jungle. It was so unique!!!!
