The best part was that it was not a generic walking tour. It focused on Alpine heritage, which made all the difference for us. We learned a lot about the architecture and how the local communities evolved over centuries. If you appreciate authentic culture, do not skip this tour.
This tour was like a glimpse into Zermatt's history from its humble farming beginnings to its rise as a world-class mountaineering and ski resort. The fact that Zermatt is car-free makes a walking tour incredibly pleasant and relaxing.
