Legend says that the first word Noah pronounced as he exited the ark was “Yerevats” – translated as “it is seen”. This refers to the land he supposedly saw after the huge flood, which was later changed to “Yerevan”. You can find information on the history of city in the Yerevan History Museum, established in 1931. There are more than 87,000 cultural values in the museum telling about the city from ancient times to our days.
First, you will visit the handmade carpet factory “Megeryan”, where you will get acquainted with the culture of carpet weaving, which occupies a special place in the Armenian cultural system. In traditional Armenia carpet weaving has been developing since ancient times. During the excursion, visitors will take part in a master class of carpet weaving that will allow them to get acquainted with the traditional Armenian culture with all of its charm.
Tsitsernakaberd is the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex. Armenians from all over the world visit this memorial to honor their ancestors. At the heart of the memorial, the Eternal Flame honors those who lost their lives during the genocide. It serves as a symbol of remembrance and a commitment to ensuring that such atrocities are never forgotten or repeated.
The Parajanov Museum is dedicated to the works and legacy of the renowned Armenian film director Sergei Parajanov, who is celebrated for his innovative cinematic style and artistic vision. The museum showcases not only his films but also a vast collection of his artwork, including collages, paintings, and photographs.

Excellent tour organized by Ms. Mari Bus was good with adequate water bottles , charging points , good AC, friendly driver well familiar with route In fact Mari got us 2 additional excellent stops over and above our ask of Garni temple and Symphony of stones Must utilize their services if planning a trip to Armenia

Very nice way to visit Yerevan and get to know the history of the city and a bit more of Armenian culture. All the places we visited in this tour were guided in English. We had lunch at the Tospia restaurant and it was also very good. I really recommend this tour to anyone visiting Yerevan. We had excellent city tour though the city. Yerevan was astonishing. We thought it would be average, but it’s special views can compare to any developed city. Thanks to Yerani travel for this tour and our guide Hovhannes for his knowledge and enthusiasm.
