Private Yellowstone Wolf Watching & Wildlife Safari + lunch

Description
Our Winter and Summer Safaris are led by a wildlife biologist with years of experience guiding in Yellowstone. During the Winter we will focus on wolf watching, viewing moose, bison, elk, coyote, etc. We will depart your accommodations and head towards Yellowstone’s northern range, undoubtedly one of the prime wildlife viewing spots in the world, it harbors impressive bison herds, wolf packs, and meandering bears. Visitors are likely to depart from the park’s northern lands with at least one, if not more, checks on their wildlife card. Wild and pristine. When thinking about Yellowstone, a vast and amazing back-country, large carnivores, bison herds, iconic geysers, and geothermal features fill the imagination. Weather permitting we will stop to take fun family friendly hike or two to a secluded lake or waterfall. Mid way through the tour we will stop for lunch at a scenic area. Time permitting we will walk the boardwalks of Mammoth Hot Springs. Hot coco and coffee is provided!

This was truly a once in a lifetime experience, I’m so glad I decided to book with Yellowstone Adventure Tours. Our guide Hannah truly made the experience unforgettable, we can’t thank her enough. She was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her work and was great with our daughter. We started bright and early, and Hannah was right on time (with a hot cup of coffee/hot cocoa 🙌🏼.) We started our day off spotting two bears and a wolf fighting over a bison carcass. I’m not sure it could have gotten any better, but we continued our way through the park and saw prong horn, more bear, bison and even a moose! We had a relaxing lunch by the river and finished our day with one last wolf sighting (thanks to Hannah’s exceptional knowledge about wolves.) It was truly an epic way to end our week long trip in Yellowstone. Thank you Hannah and Yellowstone Adventure Tours for such an incredible experience!
We just wrapped up an incredible private tour with our guide with Andre Yellow stone Adventure tour. Our family was ( 5 kids and 5 adults) Our guide was knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about Yellowstone and tailored the trip with a striking educational information and engaging moments for the kids and adults. We wanted to see wolves so that that meant being picked up early. Andrea picked us up at 5 am and dropped us off at 5.30 pm. The days were jam packed with exploration and excitement of the park. Andrea knew exactly where to go for spotting animals, wildlife viewing hidden gems with incredible short hikes. One of the hikes was an otter dam. . We saw incredible wildlife grizzlies black bears fox mule deer bison with their calves pronghorn elk with our naked eyes. Wolves and big horn sheep with our binoculars and telescope. What made this tour stand out was the thoughtful extras, children telescopes and many binoculars, the children were thrilled , they spent hours spotting animals and exploring the landscapes. These tools turned this trip into an interactive adventure rather than looking out of the window. Top highlights besides the animals that was one list. The delicious picnic style lunches with beautiful settings were the highlight of each day with plenty of snacks. My nieces and nephew saw snow for the first time and they were thrilled to have a fun snow ball fight in June. Yellow stone is incredibly amazing layers on in a different terrain, hail in another area and layers off in another area all in the same day. This was magnificent. Andre handled our large group with ease and answered endless questions with a smile. Andre did not just showed us the park he created lasting family memories. Thank you for making our Yellowstone dream trip 10/10 experience. Book him!
We had an awesome tour of Yellowstone today. Our guide, Randolph, was great and incredibly knowledgeable on the wildlife and history of Yellowstone. I cannot recommend this tour enough! So worth it!!!! And Randolph is outstanding!
Our guide, Clara, took us on a wonderful Yellowstone adventure with sightings of many animals. Our tour was both entertaining and educational. Clara shared her wide ranging knowledge of Yellowstone, which stems from having grown up in the area. She had a wonderful way of providing information that helped us appreciate many features of the park, including the geologic and thermal features, the history of Yellowstone, and the ecosystems throughout. We saw many different types of wildlife including elk, osprey, an eagle, harlequin ducks, deer, black bear, bison and the highlight of the day- grizzlies is in two separate areas. We got great views and ultimately, she shared all of her photos and videos with us. Clara took time to make sure that we were comfortable, well fed between lunch and snacks, and made time for stops along the way. All in all, it was a memorable and very enjoyable day. I would highly recommend the tour!
This tour was outstanding! Our tour guide, Randolph, outdid himself. It was agreed on early start and he was there right on time! Randolph not only showed us so much wildlife but shared so much information about the animals, geography and history of the park. Lunch was delicious too! Couldn’t ask for a better tour!
Hannah was our guide--a highly trained and experienced wildlife scientist who had all the knowledge! :D -- My 13 y/o daughter has a serious passion for wolves and other animals, too, and for this reason, I wanted her first experience of Yellowstone to be significant and impactful. This is why I splurged on this specific company--they claimed to have seasoned pros who will provide a highly immersive and personalized tour so that you feel like you have the insider knowledge and are there to witness the most mind-blowing experiences that are simply not possible on your own, or with an inferior company. Listen, Hannah was/is a dream--ridiculously smart, experienced, joyful, engaging, energetic, knowledgeable, friendly to a fault. She made this experience a dream and it was worth every penny.
Tim was our guide and did a fantastic job! He picked us up at our Madison Campground @ 5AM, took my family of 4 too see wolves, moose, bison, red dogs (so cute), prong horns, goats, sheep, several bears( black and brown), elk, and so much more. He even drove us to Roosevelt Tower and mammoth springs so we didn’t have to drive our RV down the mountain. We also did a hike up to Lake Trout where we saw mouse and trout. Such a great experience. I know on our own we would have not saw all that we saw with him. My son also is a duck hunter, so Tim’s knowledge for birds was spot on. Thanks Tim! We had a great time and you made our Yellowstone trip. Would highly recommend him.
Our guide Tim was very knowledgable and informative. The SUV was in good shape and I lunch was great. I would definitely book again with this company and Tim. As mentioned on their website “Dress warm in layers” we did and were glad we followed their advise. It was 22F in the morning.
We did the full day wildlife tour. Our guide was Zak and he was amazing. He was kind patient knowledgeable and worked so hard to find wildlife for us took us on walks. He’s so knowledgeable about the park the area and the animals and he cares about taking care of the park and of his clients. I recommend him highly could not have been a better day. Thank you again, Yellowstone adventure tours and thank you Zak for making Rick and I feel like family.
This winter safari tour is the best of the best, how do we know because we experienced this amazing wonderland with Andre our guide. We did the fall with another tour company however we found repeated consistent reviews with this company. We are so happy we did it with Andre because we got a personal experience that went above and beyond. He answered all of my questions that I booked a June 2026 with my nieces and nephew. Andre is a biologist with a wealth of information that did not disappoint. He knew the layout of the land the hidden areas and the behavior of the animals from winter to summer. Our first inquiry was answered with a purpose reassuring us that we would get to know Yellowstone and do our top 5 wishes in this beautiful serene safari. Yellowstone has a different vibe in the winter we discovered very peacefully serene and no one standing in your view. Day tour Andre picked us up early at the hotel and our initial greeting felt that he was a family friend. He said let’s get to know Yellowstone in the white winter and find wolves. Andre has historical knowledge of the land and a passion of sharing knowledgeable information Yellowstone ecosystem and the wolf tracking location in the park. He truly prioritize the safety of our well being when taking pictures of the animals. Andre was able to spot wolves not once but twice on our quest which was my number 1 seeing wolves. Number 2 was seeing those historic looking bison in the snow. We saw moose bison elk eagle and a red fox. There was plenty of excitement go in and out of the car as Andre navigated using his radio, trying to find more wild life for us. We were on a mission. It truly was amazing to see that many guides called Andre an icon and that he was one of the best.( I smiled inside and knew we had made the right decision). Important Our drive through these beautiful landscape was from Gardiner Slueth area to Cooke city, I was fascinated in looking for any animals at this point small or large. Highlights Snow peak Mountains with different formations and breathtaking views Andre jumping out of the car and spotting an animal with his binoculars then having us see it through his telescope. We were always on the chase for wild life. Seeing a moose in unexpected area walking gracefully between the trees. Red fox crossing the street Hike in a canyon that was absolutely magical, with lots of settled deep pile tree branches. Having a delicious lunch ( included in the tour) with an unforgettable view of a snowy landscape. We are forever grateful for this amazing experience. I highly recommend Andrea as your guide you will not be disappointed.
