It is an escorted privileged tour and the main objective is to visit a few authentic spots in Chania Old Town, to talk with local people, taste traditional cretan products as "pasteli", “kalitsounia”, “graviera”, “mizithra”, “Cretan salad”, “local olives”, “boureki”, “pastitsio”, fresh tomatoes, local Cretan honey and wine. We will help you to see, how the locals life is and to feel as a local for a few hours. Your host will take you to special spots to take some spectacular photos and presents the most famous sights and monuments to you. The tour is offered only in private. Join us, be a traveller.

We will pick you up with our vehicles because we start the day outside from Chania city visiting one of the most famous café in Greece. The café is at the hills with an amazing view to Chania city and the Aegean sea. Enjoy a cup off coffee or a cup of a herbal mountain tea with honey and let your senses to enjoy the view and the atmosphere.
Have a unique wine tasting experience at the Wine Center of Crete with Mrs Maria. We will serve you 4 different Cretan wines from indigenous varieties of grapes. Grapes that you can find just in Crete because of the warm climate and the sunny conditions and not at the mainland of Greece. We will not serve you wines from International varieties of grapes. Taste what Cretan have been producing for over 4.000 years.
Visit the 700 years old part of Chania city, the Venetian harbor where the lighthouse is from 1599! Our guide Nicholas was great. Beautiful view with coffee overlooking Chania to start. Walk through Old Chania was nice to see areas that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Wine tasting with Maria was super. Informative but not intense or too snooty which was good for us. Traditional lunch was very good. A lot of food so we took some back with us. All a great way to start our stay on Old Chania.

We took this tour with Dimitris the day after touring Elafonissi Beach with him - and we couldn't have been happier! He is an excellent guide sharing his deep knowledge of Cretan history, the food & wine enjoyed by Cretans and just a wonderful ongoing conversation. Starting with a great cup of tea at a cafe in the hills with a spectacular view, we then went to the wine tasting at the Wine Center with Mrs. Maria. It was the most enjoyable, detailed wine tasting experience we had, learning how to correctly 'taste' and pair a wine (it does make a difference!) along with the island's history of wine. Going thru the Old Town harbor and winding thru the many alleys (getting a glimpse of where we'd be shopping after lunch!), we visited a local restaurant where the very large lunch was authentic and delicious. We had another great tour with Dimitris and we'd highly recommend this tour and our tour guide!

It was an incredible experience visiting locations we would have never found on our own. The tour started with coffee overlooking beautiful Chaniá followed by wine tasting (and informative short seminar on wine). Then we had a fabulous Cretan lunch and walk through the old town. Our host was fun, considerate, and knowledgeable making our day memorable! We will definitely recommend our host to friends back home!

This was one of the best tours my wife and I have ever been on. Very nice guide with great knowledge of the island, food and drink. Maria at the wine tasting gave us a very good lesson in Cretan wines. Worth the money!

Nasos with Chania Adventures adapted the tour to pick us up at the cruise terminal. Nikolas as our private guide was wonderful. We tend to be physically a bit slower and Nikolas modified the tour to accommodate our small group. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and patient with us. The stop for coffee with a great view of the city was an unexpected treat. Lunch was much more than expected and was a fabulous meal at an old restaurant. Wonderful. Do not eat before the tour, you will have plenty of delicious food. The coffee spot is not a place you would go unless someone told you about it and you drove to it outside the city. The wine tasting is very educational and interesting . The wines are all local grapes. We even retured to the shop to buy wine during our stay, our sommelier paired the perfect wine for our planned food (paprika chips), yes the the place is very unpretentious, all food deserves the right wine and vice versa. The walk around town was nice and the lunch spot was perfect. With so many places to choose from, it is nice to have a local take you to one... if you are planning dinner that evening, make it a late reservation.
