Narantuul Market, often referred to as the Black Market of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, is one of the largest and most famous open-air markets in the country. It's a bustling hub of activity where locals and tourists alike can immerse themselves in the vibrant local culture, haggle over prices, and discover unique items. Mongolia with Rara Avis is a must!

A group of seven colleagues and I went on a custom three-day, three-night tour with Rara this October, and we had a phenomenal time! The intentionality, professionalism, insight, and information were all 10/10. It was the perfect balance of fun, relaxation, activity, and learning. We spent one night with a local herder family — a once-in-a-lifetime experience — as well as a night in a very comfortable lodge and another in a classic ger hotel. The mix of cultural and modern experiences was absolutely perfect.

Full-day Private Custom-Made Ulaanbaatar Tour

The tour was really great. The tour guide is very nice and can speak English very well. He helped me plan the trip as exactly what I wanted! He is very knowledgeable and through him I understood the city a lot. Not only this, as my return flight was on the same day but at late night 11pm, after the tour, the tour company arranged me another car to drive me to the airport with a very reasonable price. What I could say about the tour is perfect and professional!

The absolute best tour ever. We...

The absolute best tour ever. We learned about the culture and history from a native who spoke perfect English college grad. He took us places based on what we wanted to see and he made very good recommendations. He went out of his way to take us behind the scenes to understand Mongolia as it is today. He even helped us after the tour at no cost. Highly personalized and excellent quality. Highly recommended for anyone that does not want to be on a mass tour with many other people. - over the top!
