Opened in 1933 primarily for political prisoners, Dachau was converted into a concentration camp as the war progressed, where some 41,000 prisoners were murdered. Those that survived were put through a living nightmare in this ‘school of violence’ for its SS operators. The permanent exhibition, opened in 2003, follows the ‘path of the prisoners’ from their arrival through to death or liberation by Allied troops. The stop is for 2 hours. The rest of the time is for transportation.

Pavel was our driver, and he was wonderful. He picked us up from the boat dock. He had researched Dachau for us, and gave us great information. The car ride was comfortable. He waited as we toured Dachau and picked us up when we requested. The transfer to our Munich hotel was smooth and easy. This was a great way to get from River Cruise to Munich with a visit to Dachau.
George, our driver, was simply amazing … on time, courteous, informative … he was especially helpful in our visit to Dachau … he is a great ambassador for your brand and any client that has him as their driver should be very happy.

Prompt pick up by our driver Mickel who was outstanding. Freshly washed large van with two rows of seating. He had waters for us and was very nice for our trip to Dachau and then to our hotel. Dachau is free, it is flat but a very large compound. There is a nominal fee for an audio guide $4.50 Euro and a fee fur English speaking tour guide at 11 am and 1:15 pm. The driver was wonderful but the cost was very steep for a one way three hour drive. Almost $500 for two. If mobility is limited but funds are not than this is the way to go!

The car was small and i was sitting behind large driver so my space was cramped. He tried very hard but seemed nervous and i little unfamiliar. Could spend a lot more time in Dachau but two hours was very worthwhile.

Private transportation from Passau to Munich with a 2 hour stop at Dachau. Our driver was prompt and brought a very spacious van to comfortably accommodate 6 adults with 6 medium luggage and 6 backpacks. Michael even brought us water bottles.
