Private Transfer From Marsa Alam To Luxor

We booked a transfer in Egypt from Luxor to Marsa Alam. The quoted price was €40 per person. There were two of us, so we expected to pay €80 in total. Very good communication at the start with the person organizing the transfers: quick, clear, very courteous, and efficient responses. However, even though there were two passengers, we had to pay for three people. As a result: €120 + additional fees, totaling about €130, while the site advertised €40 per seat. The nightmare then begins with the driver: * Very significant communication difficulty for the care. Fortunately, a local passed by and was able to speak directly in Egyptian with the driver on the phone to help him find the meeting point, despite sending our location in real-time via Google Maps. The driver arrived 15 to 20 minutes late, but well... the location was not necessarily easy to find, so let's move on. * Barely a hello, no smile, a rather chilling coldness from the very beginning of the trip. * The trip is estimated to take about 4 hours on Google Maps. After 2 hours, I simply ask for a break to go to the restroom and stretch my legs a bit. The driver responds with an "ok" clearly reluctantly. We then stop at a rest area. He gets out of the car without a word and completely disappears without telling us how long the stop would last. We wait several minutes before he returns, still not saying anything other than a simple "ok?". * Then, not a word for the entire trip. Music blaring, extremely unpleasant atmosphere. * The driving was frankly horrible: very abrupt, phone in hand while driving, dangerous overtaking, squeezing between two trucks that were passing each other, constant speeding, driving against traffic... At one point, he even goes the wrong way down a one-way street. Then he takes the wrong road and extends the trip by about 200 km. Result: over 5 hours and 30 minutes of driving instead of the planned 4 hours, with only one break. * Upon arriving at the hotel, he misses the exit and makes a completely dangerous U-turn. * We were so relieved to get out of the vehicle that we got out quickly. He took out the suitcases with a clearly annoyed look, then left without even a goodbye. * About 30 minutes later, we realize that we forgot my hat in the back of the vehicle. We immediately contacted the agency that organizes the transfer. They told us that they would check with the driver... but we have not heard anything since. However, during the trip, there was no problem sending us messages to suggest excursions or to request a 5-star rating with a screenshot as proof... In the end: €130 for the transfer plus a €150 hat that I will probably never see again. That’s nearly €280 lost for a trip that should have cost around €90 including fees. 5.5 hours of driving in a dreadful atmosphere instead of the 4 hours announced. I strongly advise against this company.
