One of Sri Lanka’s largest parks, Udawalawe is known for its large Asian elephant population, which can number up to 100 in a single herd. Other animals in the park include jungle cats, fishing cats, gray hangers, toque macaque, foxes, bandicoots, mongooses, jackals, wild boar, and water buffalo, among others. We had the most amazing experience on this tour. Booking the tour was so easy - we decided at the last minute we'd like to do this and it was made possible the following day. Everything ran so smoothly right from when we were picked up by our driver, ARUNA, on time and in a nice clean air-conditioned vehicle. ARUNA is very knowledgeable and pointed out some sights along the way. We then met up with our jeep driver, GUNE, who was also very knowledgeable about all the wildlife in the national park. Within the first few moments of entering the park, we saw elephants, solo, herds, mothers, and their young. They were everywhere. We saw loads of different birds, white spotted deer, buffalo, monkies and crocodiles. It was simply breathtaking and a day that my husband, son, and I will never forget.
Friendliest team, amazingly nice and welcoming people! Stayed over for the night in the park and had a genuine experience with Chaturanga and his colleagues. Fully recommended. Hope to come back!
Really enjoyed our jeep tour safari of Udawalawe National Park. Communication beforehand was great, we were picked up on time, we saw lots of elephants, crocodiles, eagles, hornbills, bee eaters. We were never rushed and always asked if we were happy to move on. Really good. We also had a good priced transfer to Tangalle, again no problems. Many thanks.
Amazing Safari experience! Our driver, Lasanta, was very knowledgeable, friendly and helped us to find the most wildlife he could 🐘 The food we were served for breakfast and lunch was delicious and home-cooked. We saw so many elephants. It was a really amazing experience, would definitely recommend this tour. We chose to do the full day experience, but had seen everything by lunch so could have done the half day, although every day is is different so you are not guaranteed to see anything!

We were picked up at our hotel in Mirissa by Chathuranga and took to Udawalawe. He was friendly and on time and the journey was easy. He then arranged for us to have a safari and came with us, he took photos for us and guided us around. Finally due to the fuel crisis in Sri Lanka, he was unable to get fuel for our outward journey to Ella so found a replacement at the same price and checked in regularly to make sure everything was okay. It was the best price around and we spoke to a few companies- it was simply brilliant!

Words cannot express the profound joy my kids had seeing up close exotic fauna, most especially the elephants. For sure, it is something that they'll not forget in a long time 🙂 The tour was reasonably priced, our driver was very helpful. The ride from/to the hotel was smooth, and hassle-free.
