If you are passionate about the film "The Godfather" you cannot miss a visit to Savoca, one of the characteristic medieval villages present in the film. Savoca is located on a hill close to the sea.
The visit to Savoca includes a first stop at the "Bar Vitelli", where you can sit down for a fresh lemon slush, where Michael Corleone asked Apollonia's father for his daughter's hand.
With a short walk through the narrow streets of the town we will arrive at the church of Santa Lucia, where the wedding was celebrated.
Forza D'Agro 'village located at 420m above sea level, this village is the backdrop to many scenes shot in the trilogy of the film "The Godfather". Beautiful small medieval village, Forza d’Agrò, offers a breathtaking view of the coast and its inlets. Crossing the Durazzesco Arch, you will arrive at the church called Triad: both the arch and the church create a very suggestive background. Of the castle built in the Norman era, only a few ruins remain.

Tour was everything we hoped for, Guide was not. He complained about picking up/dropping off at pier. Kept saying it was a problem for him so we had to get in and out of vehicle on a very busy street. Car was to small for 4 passengers. I had to sit on the hump and it was quite uncomfortable. He did not speak the best English and if he did not understand us he muttered under his breath and simply did not answer. Seemed to get impatient when we asked questions. Very knowledgeable about GodFathe movie but not much else.

Danilo was a great tour guide. ‘For anyone who enjoyed the Godfather movies. This is a great experience! The bonus was getting to through 2 villages that most tourists never see. Danilo was very entertaining, he knew so much about the areas the movie and could answer all questions we asked. He has us always laughing and went out of his way to make our tour all around amazing!
The trip was great and amazing experience. Danilo was a kind and helpful guide. He understood our needs and helped us with our difficulties. He is a lovely person who truly cares about his clients. the places to see were great but our Guide Dan seemed very less interested in the tour he was polite and respectful but did not share much about the area. his knowledge was very limited and he kept understating and underselling the sights. we felt that we had spent so much money for seeing a worthless tour Also some of the aspects mentioned in the tour description were not really covered. for example, He was almost taking us away before showing us the Bar Vitelli which is described as a one hour part of the tour.

It was perfect from beginning to end Dan met us at our hotel on time and delivered us back 5 July. This was our first visit to Sicily and it was amazing! This was the highlight of our trip. Our guide Danilo was absolutely amazing! He was very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, funny, personable and also shared information about his own life experiences from his early childhood . He really made our Godfather tour so much fun. We would highly recommend this tour !

Guide was more interested in sharing his life story with us than in giving info on highlights. Very disorganized, constantly asked what we wanted to do. If we asked a question, he would answer it, but since we were in a foreign country we expected to be told info without asking. We took a different tour on Wednesday to Syracuse it was much different. Very informative , lots of history
We very much enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it. We requested to add the Castello Degli Schiavi stop and the company was able to deliver. Dan was very accommodating and informative.
