Private Tour: Romantic Niagara Falls Helicopter Flight

What a way to see The Falls and surrounding area with your private guide in the air! Genuine welcome at the desk in a friendly small airport by the guy who turned out to be our pilot! Great visibility from the copter with explanations all the way. The real revelation for me was the expanse of Niagra vineyards. Coming from the UK, never knew!! Worth every penny.

The Helicopter Trip was great - the Pilot and Ground Crew were very personable and provided great pre- flight information. The only disappointment was that the weather changed when we were in the air - and we were unable to get close to the Falls. But - as we shared with the pilot - we appreciated him trying and we had a great view of the Falls from our Hotel Room - so we were not disappointed. And- Viator/National Helicopter were extremely customer friendly when they voluntarily refunded the flight cost because of the weather interfering with our directly seeing Niagara Falls. <p>We didn't realise that the airport was as far out of Niagara as it was. Still didn't put us off. Had to get a taxi. Cost was $60 Canadian dollars return without tip. The helicopter trip was wonderful and well worth the money. The whole trip was well organised and staff very helpful and pleasant. Highly recommended.</p>

<p>Great trip with amazing views. Only negative was that the airport is a substantial distance from niagra, 25-30 min in a taxi which we didnt know about, are own fault for not checking. Also headphones weren't working properly.</p>

<p>The tour was on time and the staff very courteous. However there was no narrative. We had expected to at least be told what we were looking at, even if there were no stories behind the information.<br/> Obviously once you get to the falls they are self explanatory, but there's a fair amount to see before that. I had to ask questions in order to get any information from the pilot.<br/> Views of the falls were good, we didn't have great weather but we still got pictures of the main attractions. The pilot looped both directions so that both sides had views of the falls.<br/> I did like the fact that we were able to choose whether to have our bubbly on the flight or take it away with us. As we had booked this primarily to take photos and have no one else in our way, it was nice to have the option to take the bottle back to the hotel.</p>

<p>Our first glimpse of the the river and falls.! Wow! Nice friendly staff; the pilot very informative. A bit fiddly trying to drink/pour the bubbly, look out and take photos/video and take it all in at the same time and enjoy the experience but we managed it. Overall so pleased we did it!</p>

<p>Our helicopter tour was amazing!!! It was great to be on our own in the helicopter. The ride and take off and landing were all smooth. Best thing we did in Niagara.</p>

<p>To begin the tour was 15-20 minutes late as there was something blocking the helicopter from leaving its hangar, not a big deal I didn't mind waiting. Tour was great and the experience of being in a helicopter was my first so it was also a fantastic experience. All the staff were very friendly and commentary was good and the pilot answered all of my questions and was also very friendly. Thought the commentary could have been slightly more detailed but it was good nonetheless. Overall I would recommend the tour and rate this experience 4.5 of 5</p>

<p>The helicopter ride over Niagara falls was really amazing. The views were spectacular and the flight itself a wonderful experience for my wife and I. It just ended too soon.</p>

<p>The guy driving was funny, knowledgeable, etc. The staff was very helpful and happy. Champagne was a great bonus. We were very pleased with the entire tour.</p>
