The Aragonese Castle is a fortification that stands on a tidal island of trachytic rock located on the eastern side of the island of Ischia, connected by a 220 m long masonry bridge to the ancient village of Celsa, known as Ischia Ponte. The islet on which the castle was built derives from a synaptic eruption that occurred over 300,000 years ago. It reaches a height of 113 meters above sea level and covers an area of approximately 56,000 m². Geologically it is a bubble of magma that has consolidated during eruptive phenomena and is defined as a "stagnation dome".
Sant'Angelo d'Ischia, in the municipality of Serrara Fontana, is an ancient fishing village that extends in front of the characteristic islet of Ischia. It is the characteristic Mediterranean village with all the colorful houses perched on the tuff ridge of the mountain leaning against each other and overlooking the wonderful panorama of the crystalline sea of Ischia.
It stands on a small promontory overlooking the sea and is dedicated to the cult of the Madonna della Neve; it is white, stands out from afar and represents the classic Mediterranean construction. The Soccorso promontory in Forio is not only home to the Church, next to it there is the Torrione, symbol of Forio and home to the museum.

Nunzio was a wonderful guide with easy pick up and drop off. He took us around, sharing interesting facts along the way. Great opportunities to swim along the way and see the caves. Wonderful hidden gem of a lunch stop, too. We also engaged Nunzio to take us for a sunset ride and to and from the Naples Airport. Excellent service!

We had an amazing experience on this tour to Capri and Ischia! Everything was very well organized from start to finish, and the itinerary gave us the perfect amount of time to explore both islands.
