Itinerary

30 min

Our first stop is the beautiful village of Luss nestled on the banks of Loch Lomond, overlooking the Ben Lomond munro. Apart from stunning views of Loch Lomond, Luss is a place steeped in history, and here you can find an extremely rare Viking Hogback gravestone. There's a couple of gift shops, toilet facilities and places for refreshments.

10 min

Your guide will stop at a convenient spot for photo opportunities of panoramic views of some of the western highland's beautiful scenery.

Admission not included60 min

We will take you to Inveraray Castle, home to the Clan Chief of Clan Campbell - the Duke of Argyll. (Open Thursday to Monday and closed for winter from November to March.) Alternatively, you and your group will have the opportunity to explore Inveraray town, with stunning views of Loch Fyne.

10 min

Your guide will stop at a viewpoint for photo opportunities of this iconic 15th century castle. Unfortunately the castle is currently closed for conservation works.

30 min

St Conan’s Kirk is a hidden gem hidden on the shores of Loch Awe. It is an exceptional building featuring unique architectural features, enhanced by its surroundings, with a strong sense of peace and inherent spirituality.

60 min

Oban is know as the 'seafood capital of Scotland'. You will have the opportunity to explore the many cafes, gift shops and even the world-famous Oban Distillery. You can also visit McCaig's Tower, where you'll get some great views across Oban and it's surroundings.

15 min

We will take you to the Three Sisters of Glencoe, the most photographed place in Scotland, where you will be able to enjoy the awe-inspiring scenery and learn about the MacDonald Massacre during the Jacobite Uprisings. Your guide can also make additional photo stops along the valley if you wish.

10 min

Scenic drive through Rannoch Moor, the largest bog expanse in the British Isles. Your guide can stop at a vantage point for further photo opportunities of the panoramic scenery.

20 min

We will stop at the Falls of Falloch car park, which is a 5-10 minute walk to reach this beautiful waterfall. The path is a bit uneven and can get a bit muddy during/after spells of rain.

Must-Do for Vacation!

There were so many stops and great views along the way. Dave did an amazing job of explaining the sights and referenced different places movies were filmed. When we stopped in Oban for lunch, I appreciated he recommended a place with fresh fish from that loch. He was very pleasant to talk to along the drive and was very easy to get along with.

Operator response

Many thanks for your wonderful review. David will be so grateful for your compliments of him. We really appreciate the five stars. Thank you.

First-Class Highlands Tour from Start to Finish

We had an absolutely fantastic day on the Highlands tour, and Ryan Riley made it an unforgettable experience. From the moment we started, he was incredibly hospitable and made sure we had everything we could possibly need, with plenty of snacks and drinks on hand throughout the day. Ryan is a wealth of historical knowledge and brought every stop to life with fascinating stories and insights. His passion for Scotland’s history and culture was evident, and he was always happy to answer questions. Beyond being an outstanding guide, Ryan was genuinely friendly and made us feel comfortable from start to finish. The vehicle was spotless, beautifully outfitted, and made for a very comfortable journey through the Highlands. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland. We truly had the best day, and we can’t recommend Ryan highly enough. If you have the chance to tour with him, don’t hesitate—you’ll be in excellent hands!

Operator response
