After hotel pick up in Marrakech we start our private day trip. We transfer you from Marrakech towards Casablanca via highway and we enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour (3h drive). We visit the best sights in the largest Moroccan city.
On the shoreline, just beyond the northern tip of Casablanca's medina (old city), the Hassan II mosque dominates the entire city. Finished in 1993, it is the second-largest mosque in the world, covering two hectares in size with the world's tallest minaret (200 meters high). The prayer hall can accommodate 25,000 worshippers, while the courtyard (which boasts a retractable roof) can fit another 80,000.
Medina of Casablanca - a maze-like tumble of alleyways still hides much to discover. Authentic tradesmen sell their wares to shoppers, with the butcher, the baker, and the candlestick maker all accounted for. It's a rambling and ramshackle neighborhood with an authentic residential feel and a great place to experience the pulse of Casablanca's life.
Casablanca's Corniche (beachfront district) in the Ain Diab suburb, is the city's vortex for those who want to see and be seen. Much of the shoreline is now home to luxury hotels and restaurants. During the day, the many beach clubs here do a roaring trade, with sun worshipers lapping up the rays and splashing in the club swimming pools. Further along the shoreline is the public beach. After the guided excursion, we transfer you back to Marrakech city (3h drive).

My husband and I spent 10 days on a private tour seeing the highlights of Morocco. We visited Casablanca, Rabat, Chefchouen, Volubilis, Meknes, Fes, Atlas Mountains, Merzouga Desert, Rissani Market, Todgha Gorge, Aït Benhaddou, and Marrakech. Our driver Mohamed was a safe and considerate driver who spoke excellent English and knew many locals in each place we visited. Mohamed was kind and generously shared information about local history, customs and culture and guided us through situations. He was open to varying the itinerary to accommodate our interests; recommending places to eat at markets and within the medinas so we were able to enjoy authentic local food and culture. We’re also grateful for the local guides, Iman and Ali, who helped us explore Fes and Marrakech. Without their local knowledge we wouldn’t have been able to fully appreciate these cities so full of history and with distinct personalities. Throughout our tour we felt safe and well cared for.
