The Museum of Historical Treasures of Ukraine is a small Ukrainian hermitage, Ukrainian history “in gold and silver”. It keeps an astounding collection of precious stones and metal found or made in Ukraine. Our guide will lead you through the ancient jewellery of the nomadic Scythian tribes from 2500 years ago. You will see real ancient gold items, among them the magnificent “Golden pectoral” (chest decoration of a Scythian king). The museum possesses also an impeccable collection of Russian, Jewish, Polish and German masterpieces.
The Great Lavra Bell Tower is the main bell tower of of Kiev Pechersk Lavra. Its total height, with the Christian cross, is 96.5 metres

- A dress code is required to enter Lavra monastery. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. We recommend ladies wear a kerchief and skirt. But in case you haven't a kerchief and skirt.you can borrow them on the reception desk.

My guide Iryna was fabulous, she had so much interesting knowledge that let me know a lot about the exhibits in the museum and also about the history of Pechersk Lavra. I had a fabulous time and Iryna was so friendly and welcoming, I had an absolutely lovely day. The caves underneath the monastery were very interesting, not a place to be missed. A really fun tour. The Pechersk Lavra is a must see in Kyiv, and Iryna is a wonderful guide. I learned a lot about the history of the monastery. After the monastery we visited the Gold Museum, Iryna had previously worked there as a guide and as such was very knowledgeable about the exhibition and the history of the items on display. It was really interesting to learn about the different peoples that have called Kyiv home throughout history.
