Pick you up form your ship (or from your hotel) to start this special private shore excursion. We will visit the Lake of Melissani: Lake of the Nymphs, a lake – cave of unique beauty. 350m long, 40m wide and 36m high. It constitutes of a unique geological phenomenon. Seawater disappear into swallow holes near Argostoli and appear again after 15 days as brackwater in the cave’s lake which is situated 30cm above sea level.
Visit of Drogarati Cave: This magnificent cave opened to the public in 1963 and was discovered about 300 years ago. It is about 150 million years old and has a constant temperature of 18*C, is about 60m deep and the arched ceiling is 20m high.
Photostop above Myrtos Beach This beach is one of the most beautiful and dramatic beaches in Greece you must not miss. It lies between the feet of two mountains. It has a long beach if white shingle backed by steep cliffs of limestone. The colors of the sea can change from deep blue to white. The view high above is truly unforgettable.
We drive through the isthmus and join the north east coast road to Village of Fiscardo. Once there, we have free time to enjoy the beautiful village and harbor. It is a beautiful and cosmopolitan town with Venetian houses to be situated around a beautiful harbour. Part of Fiskardo charm is being the only town in Kefalonia not to have been devastated by the earthquake in 1953. It is a major sailing port.

Amazing tour if you can get tour guide Chris (Chrislaine). She was amazing. So pleasant, carefree, and knowledgeable. She really catered to whatever we wanted. I would really recommend go early in the morning when no cruise ships are around to avoid waiting in line at the lake and cave, and pat extra money to swim Mrytos beach. This tour does not include the swim. We spent less time in Friskardo to have extra time for swimming. Make sure to bring beach shoes if you do swim in Myros beach. The rocks are hard to walk on.
Absolutely perfect day in Kefalonia! Jerry was a perfect tour guide as he told us all about this majestic island. It was surreal and a “pinch me” moment as we stood over and looked down at Myrtos Beach and then again as we dipped in the Ionian Sea at the fisherman’s village of Fiscardo. We topped it all off by taking a private boat ride into Drogonati cave. I’ve never seen such beauty in all of my life. I 1000% recommend this private tour. You will not be disappointed!
Kefalonia was a beautiful surprise! Demetrius met our group (6 adults) at the port. Transportation was in a very comfortable, air conditioned van. Demetrius was able to get us to Lake Melissani before the tour buses started showing up, so we had no lines! Toured Myrtos and made our way to Fiskardo. We spent about an hour shopping and having a drink in Fiskardo. We were transported back to the port to get on the ship. Our tour with Demetrius gave us so much more knowledge of the island than we would have received on our own.
