At your arrival in Gibraltar, find your tourist guide just after crossing the 2 frontiers (the Spanish one and then the English one). Drive direct to the Nature reserve visiting St. Michael's cave, the Barbary Macakes, the Great Siege Tunnels and pass by the Moorish Castle
Cave of limestone used nowadays as an auditorium. With plenty of stalactites, stalagmites and columns.
Learn about its history: - how it became an oversees british colony - and how the rock was so well defended against Spaniards and Frenchs.
Visit one of the Barbary macaques groups. They are the only wild animals living freely in Europe

Our wonderful guide, Tom, was a font of information regarding Gibraltar and the macaque monkeys. Seeing the macaque monkeys up close was a once in a lifetime experience. The FANTASTIC light show in St Michaels cave was different from every other stalagmite/stalagtite cave we’ve viewed. I would definitely recommend the private tour to allow the tour to move at your pace. Mijas was a picturesque town, but I would recommend exploring on your own, the tour did not allow time to enter any shops or establishments, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Awesome tour! We loved visiting Gibraltar and Mijas and learning about both places. St Michael Caves and Siege Tunnels were really cool! The monkeys were so cute and playful! Really enjoyed the free time in Mijas. If possible, make time to do the donkey taxi. Big fun!
