Private Tour drive to Chinggis Khan Statue & Terelj National Park

It is a relaxing trip where you get your own driver. That means it can be flexible if you wish. Our driver was very helpful and had a great sense of humour. We saw what we hoped to see and avoided the riding, but that was our decision. Highly recommend this tour.

I recommend it for a day at your own pace. Our driver Bazaraa was great 💙. Very friendly, he speaks English and we were able to communicate with him during all the trips. He meets our needs and ensures that we are always comfortable.

We took a one day tour to the statue and national park and had an excellent experience! Duk, our guide, was so informative, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and spoke English well. Duk and the driver were very accommodating if we wanted to stop somewhere, or if we wanted to spend more time in a particular place. We traveled with two teens and she made sure to appeal to them as well. I am so glad that we hired them. It was our best experience in Mongolia so far. Ask for Duk! Highly recommended!

We had an unforgettable day, lead by Bazaraa! He was attentive, informative, and very funny. Seamless pickup — we were flying out that evening, and Bazaraa made sure we got back to the city in time. The vehicle was clean and very comfortable — really could not more highly recommend this experience!

Great private trip to see the great statue and the lovely national park. Our guide, Basaa, accommodated our special requests, was personable and knowledgeable. Friendly gestures and google translate helped with our communication. Tour was well worth the drive. A great value and sights.

Travelling through Mongolia, we met many wonderful people, and the team at Meet Mongolia was certainly among them. From our first conversation with Zaya to our final drop-off at the airport, everything was smooth, efficient, and exactly as promised. Communication was prompt, arrangements were clear, and every request was handled with care. What stood out most, however, was the attitude of the drivers. Both the city tour driver and the UAZ driver were exceptionally warm, patient, and hospitable. At no point did we feel rushed. Whether we wanted extra time at a location, a photo stop, or simply a slower pace, they were happy to accommodate us. What impressed me most was how often they went beyond what was expected. Not because they had to, but because they genuinely wanted us to enjoy Mongolia. The UAZ airport transfer was a perfect example. What could have been a routine journey became a memorable experience thanks to the driver's enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to help us create lasting memories. We contacted Meet Mongolia with a rather unusual request — we specifically wanted a UAZ for our Ulaanbaatar city tour and airport transfer. From the very beginning, Zaya was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She patiently worked through our request and explained that a UAZ was unfortunately not available for the full-day city tour. Rather than simply declining the request, she took the time to explore alternatives and ultimately managed to arrange a UAZ for our airport transfer, which we greatly appreciated. For the city tour, Meet Mongolia provided a standard vehicle instead. The vehicle was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Our driver was professional, polite, and incredibly accommodating throughout the day. He never rushed us at any point, allowing us to explore each location at our own pace. His calm and patient manner made for a very enjoyable day in Ulaanbaatar. The real surprise came on our airport transfer day. The UAZ driver arrived early and immediately understood why we had specifically requested this iconic vehicle. As we were approaching the airport, he took the initiative to stop for a short photo session with the UAZ. He suggested different locations, guided us on where to stand, and helped us capture some fantastic photographs. Even upon arrival at the airport, he continued helping us take photos around the vehicle. It was clear that he understood this was more than just transportation — for us, the UAZ was part of the Mongolia experience itself. What was meant to be a simple airport transfer became one of the most memorable moments of our trip. The driver completely exceeded our expectations and turned an ordinary transfer into a special experience and a perfect farewell to Mongolia. I enjoyed traveling with Basaa, my driver, to the Chinggis Khan Statue & Terelj National Park on June 5th. He is an excellent driver, and we communicated well through Google Translate. For my first full day in Mongolia, it was a wonderful and memorable experience! The scenery is spectacular, and the statue was amazing to see, including taking the stairs to the top of it! The roads can be challenging with the amount of potholes in them as you travel further from Ulaanbaatar. Basaa expertly navigated around them until he hit an unavoidable pothole on the way back. It ripped a big hole in his left front tire. He calmly pulled over on the shoulder of the road and quickly got to work taking off the damaged tire and putting on the spare tire. Basaa is a highly responsible and dependable driver, plus a very nice man with a calm demeanor (he is a retired police officer). I highly recommend him for driving excursions!

Great full day tour for those that want to experience some of the beauty and wonder of Mongolia. My driver/guide met me right on time at my Airbnb and was friendly and helpful throughout the day. He recommended photo spots and offered to take my picture many times since I was traveling solo. I’m not a big fan of long car rides, but the trip was spaced out perfectly and I was never in the car more than 2 hours at a time before we stopped at scheduled points of interest along the way.

Great tour if you are a solo traveler. My driver was very kind and accommodating. I highly recommend this if you want to have a smooth trip to the monument and the park.
