Walked around for almost hour of food. Wine tasting was rushed at the end in wine shops … tour guide was very nice but moved at slow pace, got lost and then tried to charge more $$ for xtra hour even though our sightseeing was cut short.
The Rhine tour was definitely worth going to, but our guide was less than desirable. I have used Viator in the past and had fantastic guides, and OK guides. Unfortunately, with this excursion our guide was not great. He took us on a 1.5 hour tour of Frankfurt before heading to the Rhine valley, which we did not ask for and even told him we were not interested in. He also filled our day with useless facts about the areas that were riddled with his political opinions. He never listened to us and adjusted the tour or his comments. When we finally made it to the Rhine valley he did take us to the areas we were interested in but we had to really drive the agenda. The place he took us for lunch was OK but I felt like there were better options. The sites we did see were beautiful. After we arrived back in Frankfurt, the guide told us we owed him an extra $85 Euros for the extra hour, which I refused to pay since the tour did not state hours, he never mentioned this earlier and the 1.5 hours spent touring Frankfurt was never requested. Honestly, I felt like he was trying to scam us. Overall, typically happy with the sites and other guides booked through Viator, but was not happy with this guide.

Amazing tour. comfortable car. very knowledgeable and charismatic guide the ferry ride is the highlight, seeing the many castles by the hills was a great experience, recommended 100
