Private Tour Comuna 13 with Cable Car Ride

Description
Admittedly, the Commune 13 today is one of the most touristic places in the city, and for us it is important that you feel confident, calm and good energy. We want to make you feel at home, that you enjoy, you love and revolutions with your smile providing more color, also you’ll see the neighborhood from above when riding the cable car where you’ll have the opportunity to understand the difference between social classes that we have in the city to have a better perspective of our society.

Itinerary
We will ride the cable car in San Javier station, west of the city. Here we will enjoy an unparalleled view, with the aim of being a little closer to the neighborhoods that make up Comuna 13.
The commune 13 is a place full of color, dance, life, flavor. It is a space to appreciate the transformation of a city that has been stigmatized by a difficult and violent past. Being in the middle of the community makes you part of a great family like the city, which today struggles to keep all the good that has been achieved after leaving the war behind.
In this place we stroll the grafitti area and you will know all th story behind them and how this sector of the city passed from being full of dead to be full of life nowadays

Our guide Yuly, was knowledgeable, friendly and very accommodating. We learned a lot from her! It’s so worth it to do a private tour at Communa 13. Spaces are tight and tons of information and history to learn. So having a private guide is a must. Yuly did an excellent job!
Amazing experience with Oscar and his company Tourguides Medellín! Visited Colombia for five days for the first time with my two sons (age 11 and 17)…our experience with Tourguides Medellín was the best part of our trip! We toured the city center, saw Botero sculptures, visited Comuna 13 and rode a cable car to see the beautiful landscape from an elevated position. Separately, we did a day trip to Guatapé and a small family-run coffee and cacao finca. Oscar (and Julio) were incredibly friendly and helpful, and extremely professional and punctual. Superb communication. Gave recommendations on local shopping and low-key activities for my family and also arranged airport transportation for us. All aspects of the guide service were more than worth the reasonable cost ($60 pp for city tour, $80 pp for Guatapé and $110 pp for finca tour) to make the most of our limited time in this beautiful part of the world. We hope to return and see Oscar and his other guides again soon!
Our visit to Comuna 13 was unforgettable! Excellent organization and duration of the tour, and the best part was our guide, Henry, who, with his kindness and historical knowledge, made our experience incredible! Totally recommended!!
Yuly was an amazing tour guide! She knew so much about the history and our main goal was to learn about the history that created such a vibrant culture! She made recommended stops for cultural snacks and for us to purchase goodies or watch the amazing street performers. She also is an INCREDIBLE driver and we felt 100% safe the entire time.
I’ve taken many tours while traveling, and this was easily one of the best. As a solo female traveler, feeling safe and comfortable is incredibly important to me, and from the moment I was picked up, I felt completely at ease. He was respectful, kind, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making sure I had a great experience. Comuna 13 is filled with history, culture, and incredible art, and having a local guide explain the stories behind it all added so much depth to the experience. I asked plenty of questions, and he always answered them thoughtfully and enthusiastically, making the tour feel personal rather than scripted. The places themselves were amazing, but the guide is what made the experience exceptional. I left with a much deeper appreciation for Comuna 13 and Medellín than I ever would have gained on my own. I would highly recommend this tour, especially for solo travelers looking for an authentic and insightful experience.
We had an incredible experience touring Comuna 13 with Yuly in Medellín! From the very beginning, she was welcoming, kind, flexible, and accommodating. She picked us up directly from our hotel and was extremely understanding when we were running a bit behind and needed to adjust the pickup location. Yuly was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Colombia, Medellín, and Comuna 13 itself, and we learned so much throughout the tour. Everything was thoughtfully planned out, and she made sure we got the absolute most out of the experience. The tour included great photo stops, a delicious snack, and even an opportunity to meet one of the influential street artists behind Medellín’s famous murals, which made the experience feel even more special and authentic. She also made sure to get us back to our hotel exactly when we had requested. We truly had such a great time with Yuly and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Medellín — especially with her as your guide!
We had a terrific visit to Comuna 13 with Julio! He had a great understanding of the community's history and the ways in which art, the land, and the people have navigated past and ongoing challenges. We even got to see the artist Chota 13 briefly (by chance). He waa patient with us, answered questions, and took photos. We also had a lovely cable car ride overlooking the mountains and valleys. We recommend him and his team for anyone looking to have a private tour (including pick up/drop off in Medellín) and look forward to our next visit.

Amazing experience with Erika! She was very kind and taught us a lot. Not only is she incredibly knowledgable, but it is clear she is very proud of her city which made the tour even more enjoyable and engaging. I would recommend her tour to everyone!
Excellent service, very good service and explanation
