Uncover the mysteries of the ancient mayans as you walk through the buildings and structures of Chacchoben. Weave through the winding natural paths and experience the grandeur of this exciting archaeological site. We’ll visit: Templo 24, Plaza B, Gran Plaza, Gran Basamento, Los Gemelos, Las Vasijas and Temple One. During this excursion you will also have the possibility of learning about local plants and seeing some species of local fauna including birds and spider monkeys.

HIGHLY recommend Jhoana at Bacalar Experiences. She was an AMAZING tour guide; very knowledgeable, super friendly & outgoing, and such a character! Her 3-ring binder of photos/maps/etc. was very helpful in understanding the Mayan culture, the area, etc. Would also highly recommend Lilia, our tour guide at the Mayan Ruins. She was so sweet, and also VERY knowledgeable. This was my FAVORITE tour/excursions from all the ports on our recent cruise.

She provided us with a great tour, ice cold beverages & even snacks for the ride. Lilia (our Mayan Ruins guide,) was also amazing. Would definitely recommend this tour & tour guide....it was my favorite excursion of all the stops on our recent cruise!
Our tour guide Gabriella was very sweet but not very engaging. She did not interact with the children or teens in our party. I feel like the the tour could have and should have been much more fun.
