Private Surf Lesson Punta Cana – 1-on-1 Coaching for All Levels
Description
Whether you’re surfing solo or with others, private lessons provide a dedicated instructor for each student. This one-on-one attention allows you to catch more waves, receive immediate feedback, and progress faster. Beginners start with a 15-minute introduction covering safety, technique, and practice on the sand before entering the water. Intermediate, advanced, and experienced surfers head straight to the ocean after a short evaluation. We’re also the only surf school in the Punta Cana area offering lessons for all experience levels. Lessons are divided into two sessions with a short break in between, allowing you to rest and reset before getting back in the water.

Pickup Locations & Times
Round-trip transportation from any hotel in the Punta Cana area is included. Please confirm your pick-up hotel and send us your room number after you arrive. Pick-up time will depend on your location, from 30 to 60 minutes prior to your lessons start time.

I had an absolutely incredible experience with the Macao surfing lesson! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The instructors were not only super friendly and welcoming, but also extremely knowledgeable and patient. They made sure everyone felt comfortable in the water, no matter your skill level. The beach itself was beautiful, and the waves were perfect for learning. What really stood out was how encouraging the team was—they genuinely wanted you to succeed and have fun. Within a short time, I was already getting up on the board and riding waves, which I honestly didn’t expect! You can tell they’re passionate about what they do, and it makes the whole experience even better. I had such a great time, lots of laughs, and made some awesome memories. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Macao Beach—whether it’s your first time surfing or you’ve tried before. It was easily one of the highlights of my trip!

I had an amazing experience at Macao Surf Camp! I chose the option with a personal teacher, and as an intermediate surfer, it was exactly what I needed. He helped me a lot and made me feel completely safe by clearly explaining the waves and the conditions. I had read some previous comments mentioning theft, but that absolutely did not happen to me — and I went twice. Everything was perfectly fine. I can only recommend this place. The people are so, so nice and welcoming. You can choose them with your eyes closed! Gracias to the entire team!

The surfing experience was amazing. We were a group of women traveling for a 50th birthday. We had a variety of athletic ability, but the coaches made sure that we were all successful and all had a great time.

Surfing always seemed very intimidating to me but Macao Surf Camp makes it feel so accessible to everyone. Their staff is attentive, professional, and always looking for customers to have the best and safest experience. Our instructor Sammy was amazing! It was SO fun and a worthwhile experience in Punta Cana - plus Macao beach is probably one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to. 100% recommended, everyone in your group will enjoy this. Yesterday I did a surf lesson and it was a great experience. They picked me up at the hotel and then brought me back, super comfortable and punctual. The teachers were very attentive at all times, explain very well and are watching for you to enjoy and better. They also took pictures of us and they looked beautiful. The beach is beautiful and surfing in Caribbean water was the best of the trip, total highlight. I would definitely repeat and recommend it 100%.
