PRIVATE SUNNY HERZEGOVINA - (Mostar + Kravice falls + 3 cities)

Description
Herzegovina is a large Mediterranean terrace overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Crossroads of civilizations, in the full sense of the word, this region is literally an open air museum. Beautiful scenery, the Great Southern Alps ranges with a turquoise water of the karst rivers that flow from them, rocky fields full of Mediterranean fruits and vegetables, sun and stones, aromatic herbs, unique wines, the traditional warm welcome of the local people – all this is waiting to be discovered.

The town is one of the oldest permanent settlements in Bosnia and Herzegovina , dating back almost 4000 years; the city in its current incarnation arising as an important town in the late 14th century.
Mostar is situated on the Neretva River and is the third-largest city in the country. Mostar was named after the bridge keepers (mostari) who in the medieval times guarded the Stari Most (Old Bridge) over the Neretva. The Old Bridge, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century, is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's most visited landmarks, and is considered an exemplary piece of Islamic architecture in the Balkans.
Blagaj Tekija is a Dervish monastery outside Mostar, Bosnia, that’s nearly 600 years old. Situated at the base of a cliff, next to the source of the river Buna, it’s a unique and picturesque series of buildings that looks even better in person than it does in pictures.
This unique settlement, listed as a UNESCO heritage site and recent reconstruction has returned the town to its original form. It was first mentioned in 1444 but some documents show that it was built in the late 14th century upon the order of the Bosnian King Tvrtko. Besides its stunning oriental architecture and Ottoman feel, Pocitelj hosts the longest operating art colony in southeast Europe.
The Kravice waterfalls, originally known as the Kravica waterfalls, is one of the most beautiful natural sites in the Herzegovinian region of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Located on the Trebižat river, it cascades off a particularly large tuff limestone deposit and onto the lake below. The entire area is protected by the state government, but it is open to the local public and tourists for visits, picnics, camping and even swimming. The entire area is full of greenery with chaste trees, poplars and figs all around. Even the tuff formations are green with thick lichen, moss and grass all over them. There are hardly any manmade formations near the falls to interfere with the location’s complete natural environment.

Mak was a great tour guide - a local to Sarajevo his personal experiences helped us to really understand the complicated history. Arts and Tours was accommodating to our need to shorten the tour and Mak still helped us see the highlights of Herzegovina without making anything feel rushed! I would recommend any tour to get to know both Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was a really lovely day and the tour guide, Adis, was very knowledgable about the history of Bosnia. Each part of the trip was beautiful and even though you visit many places, you have the time to take in the beauty. The Blagaj Tekke was definitely a highlight. Adis would check in regularly asking if we needed more time in any place or if there was anything we needed. Would definitely recommend.
Adis was an amazing tour guide who made that day our favourite on the trip. It was full of laughter, happiness and knowledge so would definitely recommend him to anyone who is coming to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was very well educated and passionate on the history of Bosnia and was able to answer all of our questions.
We booked this private tour, our tour guide was Muki. We had a fantastic day trip seeing all the sights. Muki was excellent and shared so much history and knowledge about Bosnia - he was very friendly and helpful. Mostar was amazing as were the waterfalls and the other stops along the way. Would highly recommend! ⭐️👍
We had our tour with Muki. He was a great tour guide and very patient and flexible. Mostar your was incredible and well worth it. Only thing to note is that Mostar is atleast 10 degrees hotter than sarajevo. We went at the height of summer where it was 40 degrees. Other than that everything was wonderful and would recommend!
We did the full day Mostar tour with Mak and what an amazing experience. First of all it’s a small group and hence you don’t waste time. Then Mak knows exactly how to beat the traffic and the crowd, took some amazing photos, gave us so much information about the history and crowned our experience with a delicious traditional roast lamb lunch on a table with a superb view of the river valley. We also had the freshest pomegranate juice and dried fruit in Pocitelj. Thank you Mak for sharing your beautiful country with us.
Dear Angela, Your review really made our day and we are so grateful for your time to write it. Mak is trying always to provide his best and we are thankful to you for recognizing that. Hope to see you one day soon in our country and we appreciate you choosing our service. We wish all the best in future travels. Sincerely, Art and Tours Sarajevo
Mak, informed us on the tours Roses of Sarajevo & Sunny Mostar full-time tour very professionally and extensively about the culture, the war happenings and the history of Sarajevo. And with Mak and his team, no detail to spoil.
The best Tour Guide we have ever had!!! BAKIR you are the best. You were extremely Professional. I want to give you 10 stars. Thank you for such an amazing Trip. You helped make our Trip an amazing experience and one that we will treasure forever esp. visiting Medjugorje (wish become reality). It was great meeting you and spending all the time with you. Looking forward to seeing you again soon. Thank you so much for everything! Highly recommend this Tour "ART and TOURS".
My and my daughter had 2 tours with Bakir Becirbegovic and we were really well taken care of. The tours were very informative and in between the stops we had a lot of engaging and interesting conversations about all kinds of subjects. We learned a lot! Bakir Becirbegovic is a very openminded and not stuck in past grievances and with people like him there is actually some hope for this very complicated country. I recommend any visitor to Sarajevo to use Art & Tours for guidance. It's absolutely worth it.
Once more, if I had a chance to rate guide Mik from Arts&Tours, I’d rate 6-Star!! Amazing experience, loads of knowledge from an expert guide with history, geography and international relations background. Besides the guide speaks perfect English and French. Do recommend. Don’t miss it!
