Private Sloth Encounter Waterfall And river safari Tour

Our tour guide was Amazing! Our boat guide was Amazing! Our Lunch was Amazing! The restaurant where we ate was Amazing! Our Sloth tour guide was Amazing! The people of Costa Rica are wonderful! All so helpful and eager to please!

Alex and his driver were prompt to pick us up at our house. Alex was a very good conversationalist, telling us a little history of the country and area. Everyone involved in this excursion were warm and friendly and so knowledgeable about the plants, trees, animals. A perfect excursion, meeting all expectations. A definite “above value” for the price!

The day was fantastic. We saw tons of wildlife and had a great time. The one thing I wished was communicated better was the timeline. The way it sounded to me on the website was that all the events would happen on the river but first you drive to the waterfall and get out and can swim. Then we got out and drove a bit to the nature preserve and saw lots of wildlife then you went back to the meeting place for lunch and then finally we went on a float trip down the river. Overall and great time and saw more than we expected to.

We had a great trip with Carlos. The trip down the river was just the right amount of time ( it was hot, hot, hot, so more than an hour would have been too much). The nature reserve was perfect and our guide was able to locate sloths, poisonous snakes, howler monkeys and toucans, and took fantastic pictures with our i-phones by positioning them against his binoculars, so our photos look like professional close-ups. Carlos was a charming guide and we had a fantastic day.

We could not have asked for a better experience during a brief Costa Rica vacation. We experienced a variety of local environments and had encounters with virtually every form of wildlife we had hoped to see. Our guide Eithel was wonderful and the agency manager drove 90 minutes round-trip to deliver my wife’s glasses she had left in the van. Highly recommend this group and this day-long adventure.

We took the Private sloth encounter tour with Johnny and had a wonderful time. He was a great driver and easy to talk to. We enjoyed the Corobici water falls, and the Class I & II water raft tour where we saw crocodiles, howler monkeys, and many beautiful local birds. Then off to a delicious Costa Rican lunch before the tour at Finca Verde Lodge where we saw many sloths, indigenous plants and flowers, and the butterfly farm. It was lovely and so interesting. We definitely recommend this tour, Johnny as a tour guide and driver, and Guanacaste Dreams Vacations.

This was perfect for our family. We wanted my 80+ year old Mom to experience Costa Rica but she doesn;t get around as well. So the "special" attention and help she received from both our driver and tour guide was well worth it! This is a very easy tour and a good highlight tour. We were able to see several sloths and many water creatures on the raft, including a few crocs. I can't say enough about the tour guide and driver. I would definitely recommend either of them for private tours.

We decided on this private tour at short notice and didn’t regret it for a second, even if the price seems high at first glance. Punctually at 7:30 we were picked up by our guide Jonny. He proved to be an excellent companion throughout the tour, telling us a lot about the nature, animals and history of Costa Rica in very good English. Our first stop took us to one of Costa Rica's most beautiful waterfalls and due to the early arrival it was not so crowded here either. We had the opportunity to swim in the crystal clear water and take enough photos. Afterwards we went on to the floating tour, where our boatmaster Marco was already waiting for us. For us, the 90 minutes on the river were the absolute highlight of this tour. Crocodiles, bats and lots of iguanas and various birds could be observed and photographed by us. Marco steered the boat very safely through the water and the small rapids at all times. Our guide Jonny explained a lot about the animals and always had a book with pictures and names of the animals ready. In between there was a stop with fresh pineapple filleted by Marco.Jonny had also taken drinks and cookies on board. After 90 minutes of driving, the car was already waiting at the dock, which took us back to the starting point together with the boat. Now there was a lunch on site that was very simple but absolutely delicious. We could choose between chicken, beef or fish as a side dish before the boat tour. They were accompanied by rice, beans and salad. Alternatively, you could have ordered a burger with fries. For dessert we had two scoops of ice cream. The only downer was the view at lunch, as we looked at the four-lane highway. Afterwards we headed towards Tanarino to a private small lodge where Carlos was already waiting for us for a 60 minute walk through the magnificent nature. We saw sloths, a tree stinger, birds and frogs in the great outdoors. In addition butterflies and snakes in aviary, or terrarium. Carlos talked a lot about the plants and wildlife of Costa Rica. After the lodge we went back to the hotel, where we arrived at around 4:30 pm. Overall a great tour, which is absolutely recommended for couples as well as families. Jonny has always responded to our wishes and was a perfect “host”. Five stars are absolutely deserved for this great full-day excursion in a private atmosphere!

Floating tour was lovely and very peaceful. Every thing from start to finish including the lovely Costa Rican lunch was great.Try it you won’t be disappointed
