Next, continue to the village of Imerovigli, an ideal spot for snapping more pictures. Your guide will lead the way into the heart of the village, explaining its architecture and showing you the beautiful blue-domed cathedral and hotels perched high on the caldera cliffs.
Stop at the edge of Santorini’s caldera to take in the awesome views, and on arrival in Oia, explore the narrow, marble-paved streets. Admire the architecture of the captains’ houses, delve into the prettiest parts of the village, and take as many photographs as you can.
Visit and continue to the Prophet Ilias Monastery, situated on the top of Santorini’s highest mountain. Enjoy the panoramic island and Aegean views from the summit and then head to Megalochori, one of Santorini's most beautiful villages.
Visit Pyrgos, the old capital, where you’ll take a guided walk along narrow paths to the ruins of the Venetian castle.
A picturesque village where you can wander along paved paths and admire classic Greek buildings, churches with blue domes and bell towers. You will also have the opportunity to enter the underground caves of the 18th century and see the place where people lived in the past.
Discover Akrotiri ruins and admire the elaborate drainage system, sophisticated multi-storied buildings, magnificent wall paintings, and excavated furniture and vessels that show the former settlement's great prosperity.
Visit and explore Emporio, the largest village of the Greek island of Santorini. You can look at the historic windmills and have an excellent view of the rest of the island.
Take a walking tour here before venturing to the famous black beach at Perissa-Perivolos. Get time here to explore or swim, and if you wish, enjoy an optional lunch at a local fish taverna (own expense).

Felt like being taken around Santorini by a family member! LOVED George, our guide and driver- he managed to take us to wonderful places, take beautiful pictures of us there (somehow SANS other tourists in the background, even though it was already May!) learn about the island's history, AND have a wonderful meal in one of the most picturesque restaurants.. Definitely recommend! Highlight of our Greece trip!

This was everyone’s favorite tour of our trip!! Our driver Harris was awesome!! Highly recommend this tour. Great thing about being private was we managed the time and stops based on our desires. Spent lunch and some time at the black sand beach- our favorite spot! If I go back, I will ask specifically for Harris. He took group pictures of us, had conversation, and kept us entertained.

My wife and I are on the Explora 1 cruise celebrating our anniversary and we decided we wanted to have a tour guide take care of our only day in Santorini. Mary was our tour guide and did a fantastic job making our day as special as it could be. Taking us to private wine tasting, monastery at the highest point of the island, an amazing lunch on the beach at Mario’s restaurant and accompanied us to a private photo shoot in Oia. Wonderful tour all over Santorini with private tour guide and van. We paid extra for wine tour and Akrotiri which guide could not come in to explain what we were seeing. We were on cruise ship and getting to the top to reach the guide was 40 minutes. This was in May we docked with a tender. Beautiful island and views don't need to return.
