Friendly and good knowledge, especially of politics and history.
We had an excellent tour with Tómas! He guided us all around the main sights of central Santiago, providing a ton of information about the history and culture. He also pointed out some great spots for food, coffee, pisco, and ice cream which were indeed excellent (we came back later!). The pickup from our hotel was smooth and on time. Highly recommend!
Cristian gave us a wonderful tour of Santiago. We really got to experience the vibe of the city while learning about the culture. Cristian was receptive to our requests to ride the local subway, visit churches and even try a sweet Chilean treat. We had limited time in the city, so it was wonderful to have a tour to optimize our experience. I would highly recommend this tour!
Claudio was our guide and the whole trip experience was amazing. Claudio showed up early to our hotel, contacted the front desk who then notified us. We went over the tour duration and was not rushed at all. Claudio was patient, friendly and professional. He showed us various places of interests, explained the history and brought us to some unique places to try out the local delicacies. What sets him apart was the passion he had for the city and its history. It was like visiting a good friend who's very excited to show you the place he lives at. One area/street of the city was a little shady and Claudio warned us ahead of time, gave us tips such as not taking our cell phones out and made sure we felt safe with him for that short duration.
Superb! Claudio was not only a terrific tour guide but also took some fun candid pics of our family visiting some of Santiago’s neatest places. We started our trip with this tour and I cannot think of a better foundation for our spring break visit to Chile. Claudio was insightful, knew a lot of history, where to take us, and most of all was fun. Very glad we booked this tour!
Juan was a wonderful tour guide for one adult and two teens walking around Santiago. He was knowledgable about sites and history. Shared about the complicated history of the country. Saw many different neighborhoods, cathedral, fishmarket, government buildings, public library, rode the metro, Plaza de Armas, Santa Lucia, Parroquia de la Veracruz, and ended at the bottom of San Cristobel where he left us to ride the funicular to the top. We had a lovely meal at the fishmarket at a place he recommended.
Highly recommend the private walking tour. Our guide, Christian, was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. If you enjoy history and learning about the city you're visiting, you should request Christian as your guide.
Very relaxing tour through the more historic areas and government buildings of Santiago, as well as a stroll through the extensive downtown interior mall and lovely downtown park located on a hill. Claudio was knowledgeable and personable and not at all in a hurry. Some of the buildings we would have loved to enter were closed because of the change of government that occurred just a day before. But, Claudio also was well informed and easily answered questions we had about the political side of the Country and the changes over many years. Extremely nice afternoon followed by a late afternoon meal in the outside garden at Liguria. AND, we have many lovely photos to remember our cultural day; thank you Claudio!
The guide was very knowledgeable about local shops, and open about his relationships with the various shop owners we visited, but I was never pressured to buy anything.
Our walking tour of Santiago’s old city with Cristian was excellent. He gave us a rich overview of Chile’s history and the important historical buildings and sites. He also tailored the stops to meet our interests- from taking us to the central fish market, stopping for truly delicious empanadas, and even tracked down the exact candies I had earlier in the trip. He then took us to buy the dried peaches and barley I wanted, so that I could recreate the local drink we sampled from a local vendor. It was thoughtful and fun and I highly recommend Cristian
