Excellent tour, guide was knowledgeable and driver was careful. However the food at the restaurant was dry, both the pork and beff
Joel and Raul are gave very nice experience!! Thank you so much!!
This is a rip off. If we had taken an Uber it would have been better. Our so called "guide" could hardly speak English. To fellow travelers ...my advice is...MAKE SURE THEY GUARANTEE an English Speaking guide. He was basically a driver. We had Uber drivers in Bogota who were 100% better! Offering information as we drive. He dropped us off at the entrance and we were on our own. No such thing as "skipping the line" The lunch we had where he took us (obviously by design by Viator) was inedible. The place was super super cool tho!!! And lovely live music. But oh my word ...the food was -10/5. The price is a total rip off I feel so bad having to write this review..as our driver was a really nice man. But...really...the value for money is out of touch and a rip off. I feel I owe it to my fellow travelers.
The tour with Jorge Martínez to the Cathedral of Sal and the Guatavita lagoon was an excellent experience, as it gave us valuable information about the history of Bogota and the places we visited, has a lot of knowledge about the history. He dedicated his time to us and looked after our needs. He is a person who can be trusted to anyone who wants to go through a guided tour experience.
We scheduled this tour the day before, as all other options were sold out. The English-speaking guide picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the Salt Cathedral, which took approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes due to Bogotá traffic. Upon arrival, he accompanied us to the entrance, provided audio guides, and informed us that he would meet us again at the same location in 90 minutes. The cathedral itself is constructed within a former salt mine, and the tour follows the Stations of the Cross, progressing deeper into the mine as you proceed. There is also a small train available to return visitors to the top. After the visit, the guide picked us up, drove us through the small downtown area—allowing time for shopping—and then brought us to a restaurant for lunch before returning us to our hotel. Pros: • The guide was courteous and pleasant. • The mine is geologically interesting. • The cathedral may be particularly meaningful for those of the Christian faith. Cons: • The guide does not accompany you inside the cathedral, so the experience is more akin to having a personal driver than a guided tour. • The site feels somewhat commercialized and is most relevant to Christian visitors (which we are). • The train is small and can involve long waits; after missing two trains about 15 minutes apart, we chose to walk back up, which took about 5–10 minutes. • Certain areas of the mine have noticeable sulfur odors, so visitors should be prepared.
It is an excellent tour, very nice scenery and very good food, much information provided by the managers, this highly recommended
Very good experience an excellent guide Jorge Martinez Both the trip and the place we quite liked we learned a lot and everything was nice. The food was good
Very nice family experience, very good care and excellent lunch. We were a group of 18 people We were picked up very punctual to the hotel and accompanied us throughout the tour, they were watching our needs as we carried 4 children under 4 years old, always very attentive, we are grateful that they made our family experience very enjoyable.
Experience accompanying the guide, explanation, guidance and closeness that provides security to know the Muisca culture
Excellent guide Jose Manrique, very clear, with a lot of historical knowledge, very helpful and friendly. The driver of the Samuel car super nice. I recommend them 100%.
