Private Priorat Tour with Wine Tastings & Lunch from Barcelona

Description
The day consists of exclusive visits and tastings at privately hosted venues that showcase the wide and balanced variety of the wines that make the Priorat region such a world-renowned success. Depending on the day, lunch is a carefully paired tasting menu that is either hosted at one of the wineries or at a local traditional restaurant showcasing local wines. Priorat Wine tours provide an excellent opportunity to add some amazing wines to your personal wine collection that would be otherwise very difficult and/or expensive to acquire from outside the Priorat or Spain.

Itinerary
In the morning, drive to the scenic village of La Morera de Montsant, home to the renowned Celler Pasanau estate. Meet the passionate winemakers who maintain this family tradition, and explore their hillside vineyards with stunning views of the Priorat landscape. Then, head into the cellar to discover their meticulous winemaking process before enjoying a tasting of their elegant, full-bodied wines.
Clos Figueras is the second out of the three excellent wineries you will visit during this day trip. On your way from Barcelona to Priorat, as you pass eye-catching terraces of vines that are carved into the hillsides, listen to an orientation of the area from your guide. Tellingly expensive, the rich and full-bodied produce of the area has been subject to harsh growing conditions and labour-intensive harvesting; the grapes are mostly picked by hand. After visiting visit a small local winery to sample your first three Priorat varietals of the day, we will head to Clos Figueres winery, run by Christopher Cannan, a pioneering Priorat winemaker. Learn how the wine is produced by grapes from old vines, without the use of insecticides or other products, and recharge with a traditional 3-course lunch, paired with their wines.
Next, continue to the charming village of Gratallops and visit Celler Devinssi, a small boutique winery in the heart of Priorat. Weather permitting, enjoy a memorable wine tasting right in the vineyards, surrounded by spectacular hilltop views. Learn about their artisanal winemaking process and taste a selection of their elegant, limited-production wines.

Mariela was a great tour guide! The wineries were from very good to good. The last one is the only I would question as part of the tour but the whole experience was great
Great Spanish wine experience, with an amazing lunch and matching wines included with a local driver.
our guide Anthony was great the whole trip! really appreciate his guidance and the way he took time to explain and answer our questions on the tour, especially since it was the first time visiting a winery ever! also gave us many useful wine related recommendations and tips. helped us get our belongings back when we forgot them at the previous winery as well
If you're into wine, this is your tour and worth a splurge. A two-hour drive south of Barcelona lies the Shangri-la of Spanish vineyards - the Priorat. And if you're lucky enough to get Luca as your guide, your experience will be one of a lifetime. Three distinctive wineries are featured, a wine-paired three-course lunch, ending with a tasting right in the vineyard itself, surounded by spectacular views of this unique valley. Spanish Trails is a tour operator worth seeking out for the quality of their offerings and guides.
Wow! What a wonderful experience. Priorat is one of those places that most people wouldn't think of when visiting Barcelona, but we are both so glad that we booked this tour. From start to finish, Samuel was friendly, funny, and so knowledgeable about the history of the region. We were able to visit three incredible wineries and try some truly outstanding wines, as well as a really top notch lunch. We were also lucky enough to have a very friendly group with us, which made the experience even more unforgettable. We are so grateful to have booked this experience, and would absolutely recommend anyone else does the same!
Samuel created a magical day! It felt like being given a love letter from the Priorat region. Truly incredible scenery, in depth knowledge of the three wineries, and the chosen tastings were exquisite. The curated lunch was outstanding. Met some sweet fellow travelers as well. Book it now! You won’t be disappointed! Worth every second to create beautiful memories.
There were 4 of us that booked this tour to Priorat not sure what to expect but the region was amazing- exceeded our expectations. The tour offered everything…beginning with walking some vineyards, tasting in the vineyards and an amazing lunch at a vineyard and of course more tastings. The wine is wonderful. Anthony was our guide and by the end of the day he felt like family! He was extremely knowledgeable and more than accommodating. Don’t miss this tour and be sure to request Anthony.
This tour was amazing! My boyfriend and I ended up being the only ones who had booked for that day, so we were able to enjoy the tour privately. Our tour guide, Samu, made the day an unforgettable experience! He was extremely knowledgeable about the region, the wine, and most importantly an overall pleasure to be around for the entire day. I truly don't think we would've been able to enjoy the day nearly as much if it wasn't for Samu since it was just us two on the tour. The wines were fantastic at all 3 locations, the lunch was delicious, and overall this tour was a 10/10. Would 100% book again and recommend to anyone going to Barcelona / Spain. The drive is a bit on the longer side, but totally worth it for the beautiful vistas.

Was initially hesitant about going to Priorat due to the long ~2 hour ride each way, but so glad we went ahead to join this small-group tour. Experience was excellent from the get-go. Alfonsina addressed my queries promptly and assisted with my reservation when I faced issues with booking platform. Jose Luis was our guide - he is knowledgeable and friendly, giving useful insights along the way. The other tour attendees were also great companions, so time really flew past! Visited 3 wineries with great wines. Jose also ensured we were well-fed while we enjoyed the tastings. Would highly recommend this tour, especially if you enjoy red wines!

Anthony was a highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide; he drove us through narrow and windy roads, up to the beautiful vineyards of Priorat, where we visited 3 wineries, each with a distinct style, and learned about the broader region, its unique terroir, and tasted a slew of outstanding wines from the producers themselves. A highlight of the trip and a must-do for any wine lover.
Hi Harry! Thank you so much for leaving your review. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time with Anthony and found the wineries of Priorat as wonderful as we do. It’s great to know the tastings and local stories made your day special. It will be our pleasure to host you again next time you’re in Barcelona! Kind regards, Kyona
