It's kind of like an escape room/scavenger hunt, but outside in little Tokyo. It was really fun, and full of personality!
We had an incredible time playing "Spies Among Us"! Without giving too much away, it’s like a twist on an outdoor scavenger hunt meets escape room. My dad was visiting from out of town, and this was the perfect way to show him around Little Tokyo. A tip for future secret agents: Most of your communication, clues, and mission updates come directly through your cell phone. Definitely make sure everyone in your group starts with a decently charged phone. If you're looking for a fun, immersive outdoor adventure that lets you explore Little Tokyo in a whole new way, I cannot recommend this enough. We were still talking about it the next day!
I had such a wonderful time playing Spies Among us. Having been to Little Tokyo before, I still learned lots about the neighborhood and discovered corners I hadn't known about. Each step was incredibly well-designed and it's clear how much thought went into the player experience. The actors were great and so funny, and we were lucky enough to get to chat with them after. If you like escape rooms, immersive theatre, and/or murder mysteries, I highly recommend this activity.
Spies Among Us is an amazing immersive experience that keeps you guessing and is so much fun. It’s a great idea for people who are new to LA or have never had the opportunity to explore Little Tokyo. It’s clever and engaging in the way it lays out the mission and incorporates technology to create suspense. There are enough puzzles and scavenger clues to keep everyone guessing to the end. This is a unique experience that everyone should check out if they enjoy scavenger hunts and escape rooms.
My wife and I had a blast. Prescott and his crew made the experience very entertaining. The communcation was very clever and witty and often times really funny. I highly recommend spending an afternoon checking this adventure out! So far it's just in Little Tokyo but we are hoping they branch out all over this city! Cheers!
A mix of interactions with spies in person and by text that leads us all over central Little Tokyo. Some puzzles to solve, interesting storyline, a fun time.
This was so unique and so much fun. The fact that it takes place in public works to its advantage. The puzzles were just challenging enough and the actors did a great job.
The little world that was created for this adventure was a fun one to play in! As a longtime immersive fan, including escape rooms, I already knew I liked the concept, but the physical environment was a great fit. Little Tokyo, and walking around looking for real-world people and places added an extra level that you don't get from artificial environments. The tasks are enjoyable, although they are certainly easy enough for all levels to accomplish them. No escape room level puzzles here (but that would be fun, for an "advanced mode" of the game!). And the choices to make are good too. I do recommend that you be comfortable with your phone, as there is a good amount of multitasking. I'm really glad Spies Among Us exists and would recommend it to anyone!
