A Lovely Day in Battambang

We had a wonderful trip to Battambang! We rode on the bamboo train, explored some temples, and watched bats fly out of a cave during sunset. Yong shared his extensive knowledgeable about the city and Ted made sure we were extremely comfortable throughout the day (by providing cool towels and beverages). Ted also took some photos of us at the various stops. 10/10 would recommend this experience!

Operator response

Thank you so much for the 10/10 recommendation! We are thrilled to hear you had such a wonderful day exploring Battambang with us. It’s great to know you enjoyed the unique thrill of the bamboo train and the spectacular sunset at the bat caves. I will be sure to pass your kind words along to Yong and Ted. Yong takes great pride in sharing the history of our city, and Ted will be delighted to hear that his photography skills and the "cool towel" service made your journey more comfortable! Creating those small, memorable moments is exactly what we strive for. We hope the photos Ted took serve as great souvenirs of your time in Cambodia. Safe travels, and we hope to welcome you back again someday!

Battambang - temples, caves & fun train ride

We had a great day travelling from Siem Reap to Battambang. Thet picked us up first thing in the morning & drove us to Battambang where we toured the temples, the bamboo train & the caves. Thet made sure we were very comfortable, lots of cold water bottles, wet towels between excursions & he stopped at nice places for drink & bathroom breaks on the long drives. Thet also shared lots of stories about the area whilst we were driving keeping us engaged in the surrounding environment. It was a wonderful day & we met even more lovely Cambodian people in Thet & Vong. Highly recommend! All admission fees covered (except the mountain loft)

Operator response

Thank you for choosing our Private Day Tour! We are thrilled to hear that Thet and Vong took such good care of you. We take great pride in those 'small' details—like cold water and comfortable breaks—to ensure the long drive to Battambang is as enjoyable as the temples themselves. Your high recommendation means the world to our team. Safe travels, and we hope to welcome you back!

Battenbang - history, beauty & bamboo train!

This trip was a great addition to our Cambodia travels. Nice to experience a different city (the city is growing & you can see the investment from the government. The riverside was beautiful & they are working on making it even nicer). The killing cave was a sobbering experience & the additional caves were magnificent. The driver Taet was with us all day, always smiling & telling us about the area. Our guide Vong was very knowledgeable & really helped us understand the history. The bamboo train was sooooo fun! The guys were absolutely lovely & so happy we visited their town. Tourism is their only source of income. Both of their English was excellent too. They provided a delicious lunch with a lakeside view & lots of water throughout the day but take extra cash for ice creams, fizzy drinks & also instead of walking up to 1 temple you can pay $10 USD to get a lift......when it's hot & sweaty we paid for the truck. It's a long day but you could nap at the start & end of needed. We would recommend.

Operator response

Thank you for the high recommendation! We are delighted that you enjoyed the history of the caves and the excitement of the bamboo train. Taet and Vong are a core part of our team, and they will be encouraged by your praise for their knowledge and smiles. We appreciate your helpful tips for future travelers regarding the extra cash and the truck lift. We hope to see you again!
