Reviews(1)
Virginia Gomez picked us up at our hotel, on time. She discussed our options with us, and we headed off to Segovia. (Note: Sunday is a great day to head out of Madrid for a tour, as there is no traffic.) My husband and I have mobility limitations, and Virginia was very accommodating! We enjoyed the drive to Segovia. We stopped near the Aqueduct first - an amazing structure. We also visited the Alcazar. We spotted 2 eagles and MANY storks. The storks nested on power poles, chimneys, and pine tree tops. All had young in the nests - quite impressive! We continued on to Toledo, taking the scenic route through the countryside and the mountains. In Toledo, we went to the viewpoint that overlooks the city, then passed the Alcazar into the heart of the city. The streets are extremely narrow and Virginia proved to be adept at maneuvering through areas we would never have attempted! We completed our tour of Toledo with a stop at a Marzipan shop operated by nuns. Due to the distance, the trip is 8 hours. Suggest tourists go to the two cities on different days. Highly recommend Welcome Pickups for tours, as well as airport transport.
