Very informative and eye-opening. Ekene was such an awesome tour guide and she explained everything in great depth. I loved it!
I had a great time. Augustina (sp?) was very knowledgeable and personable. She provided a great background on the origins of San Telmo, Boca as well as all of Buenos Aires and Argentina. Our conversation extended beyond the tour and covered current events, music and food.
Our tour guide was Agustina. First we were offered some “mate” to try. I like it because , otherwise, I would not tried it. Also had some “alfajores” , a typical Argentinian sweet with “ Dulce de leche” that I loved. Then she proceeded to take us on a very interesting tour of “La Boca” with some time for shopping. Our visit to San Telmo was highlighted by a stop to eat some empanadas. We enjoyed ever minute of our tour. Highly recommended.
Happy you enjoyed our mate! It's not something tourists can get on their own but it' quintessential to our culture, and we love sharing it!
Rodrigo led our 7 person friends group. He is an amazing world traveler, cultural historian, and incredible story teller. I learned so much! As this was our first tour of an 18 day trip, I felt it was an excellent introduction to many things Argentinian. We all appreciated the maté experience and instruction. Our tour was a feast of all the senses. His choice of traditional lunch place was local, intimate, and had delicious food. What a great guy with so much to tell and show!
Hi! Thanks for this heartfelt review! We look forward to hosting you next time you come to Argentina!
Had a great tour with Rodrigo, a local history teacher and foodie, who loves to share the history of his city, and knows where to find the best empanadas in the city! I highly recommend this tour company for its unique tours, personal service and the quality of staff and guides. Five star!!!!!
Very insightful guide, learnt a lot about the local culture and was amazed by the kindness of the guide
I booked a private tour for my visit in January. It was great, the guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiast. I tend to make lots of questions on this kind of tours and she was able to answer each of them in a really insightful way. I'm also a foodie, and asked a few questions about where to eat, both for fine dining and authentic argentinian food. I was really pleased with the guides recommendations on this matter! Thanks, will definitely book again if I visit Buenos Aires!
Doing this tour with Lunfarda was such a memorable experience! Our guide Luke had so much knowledge about the history of the place and passion for his city! He took us on a tour of La Boca that included some street art. We loved the dulce de leche tasting, and I really appreciated how he took my kids age (5 and 9) in consideration and made the tour fun and engaging for them as well. I look forward to going back to Argentina in the future and hiring Lunfarda again!
Mariana was great! Knows tons about the history and culture of her hometown, always with an interesting story or anecdote about whatever we were visiting. We loved seeing some of the less popular tourist attractions and seeing real places where real people live. We loved her first tour so much, we showed up the next day for another!
