Description
The evening will start with a private pickup directly from your hotel by one of our English speaking guides. From there your tour will begin as you start your drive in one of our comfortable, spacious and air-conditioned vehicles. Throughout the evening you will cover 3 neighborhoods: Little India, Chinatown and Kampung Baru, so you can get the real taste of all the different cuisines. You'll make several stops at different local eating spots and markets where you'll be able to try some of Malaysia's most famous dishes.

We'll take you to 'Little India', Locally known as “Brickfields”, which is small vibrant area, located just outside central Kuala Lumpur. It's very popular for its Indian food delights especially the unique banana leaf rice and thosai (Indian pancake made from fermented rice flour). Often considered a “bit spicy,” but “very flavourful”, the Indian cuisine in Little India is simply delicious. *Drive time may take around 1 hour depending on your hotel location
Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown is the hub of food, accessories and clothing and it is one of the most colourful and vibrant areas of Kuala Lumpur. This place is a paradise for food lovers and you'll be able to taste many Chinese specialities!
A visit to the Kampung Baru neighborhood is a wonderful opportunity to step back in time to experience early 20th-century Kuala Lumpur. Kampung Baru is actually a traditional Malaysian residential area that was established more than 100 years ago. Many of the dwellings are wooden houses built on short stilts and though they are in the heart of the city, dwarfed by gleaming skyscrapers, there is very much a rural village feel to the place. There are many restaurants and stalls where you can savor an enchanting array of Malay dishes. *Drive time may take around 1 hour depending on your hotel location

We provide a pickup for you directly from your hotel as long as you are in the main pickup areas of Kuala Lumpur city center area. If you are outside of these areas please contact us and we can let you know if we can arrange a hotel pickup. Additional costs might be applied. Thanks! Here's the full schedule : 4:30 PM : Pick up at your hotel (exact time may vary depending on your location) 5:30 PM : Discover local Indian food in Little India 7:00 PM : Get some typical Chinese snacks in Chinatown 8:30 PM : Visit the famous Kampung Baru area and sample some authentic Malaysian food 10:00 PM : Depart and return back to the hotel with a full belly 10:30 PM : Arrive back at your hotel (exact time may vary depending on your location)

We absolutely loved our private food tour with Chen as our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the different cultural food, the best and most historic places to eat, and he customized our tour to our interests while ensuring we still had time to eat all three cuisine. My favorite was the food in Little India, and my spouse's favorite was yhe food in the Malaysian village. Our favorite part of the tour was the book store at REXKL and the Chinese temple. If we ever visit Kuala Lumpur, we'll definitely ask for a tour through the city with Chen.

ForeverVacations provided a fabulous food tasting tour. Chen was our tour guide, and we could not have been paired with better a better guide. He tailored our tour to our interests while ensuring we sampled food from Chinatown, Little India, and the Malaysian village. Chen is knowledgeable about the different cultures, he speaks phenomenal English (which was great because he understood all our jokes😂), and he even took us to a couple places he recommended as "must see" before our flight home tomorrow. His demeanor and vibe are very laid back, conversational, and open. If we visit Kuala Lumpur again, we will definitely book with ForeverVacations and Chen, to ensure we have a great time. We are travellers but rarely would eat from the market or street food. Was great to be taken to lots of different places to sample the flavours of Malaysia. Chot was a fantastic guide. We sampled Chinese, Indian and Malaysian, meals and sweets. Not all flavours that we liked but glad to be pushed out of our comfort zone and to see what the different cultures enjoy. A recommended experience.
