- Weights are taken at check-in with all items. If weight restrictions are exceeded, we will cancel the tour and no refund will be given
- Minimum age to participate is 7 yrs old. Ages 7-11 years must sit next to a closed door. Ages 12 yrs and older may sit next to an open door
- Check-in is at the heliport 3748 Ahukini Road, Lihue Hawaii 96766. Check-in 40 minutes prior to tour time. Late check-ins will be considered a no show and subject to full price.
- Subject to favorable weather conditions. If cancelled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or a full refund

This was the highlight of our trip! Worth the money 100%
We originally booked this trip for the first day of our Kauai vacation but it was unfortunately rescheduled because of weather. That rescheduled day ALSO had to be rescheduled. Finally on our last day of our vacation, the ride actually happened! I appreciate that they are so safety conscience, so we definitely understood the rescheduling. Our check-in process went smoothly, and they gave us good safety information. When we met Meg, our pilot, she made us feel comfortable and answered any questions that we had. We absolutely loved our ride, and the views were incredible!! This experience was a highlight of our whole Kauai vacation. We loved our trip with Mauna Loa Helicopters!!
Almost Everything went well except a landing at the Grassic Park Waterfall was canceled siting wind. Kind of disappointing since that was going to be the highlight of the flight, Pilot strict as he should, Afterall we are dealing with the FAA. In all it was fun with no doors on. Could have been better. Many choppers were in the air with no issue.
75 minute tour along northwest to northeast big island & return. Saw ocean, coastline, cliffs, valleys, waterfalls & much more! Our pilot, Lance was efficient, friendly & knowledgable as a tour guide. I highly recommend Mauna Loa Helo tours!
It was a great experience and the R44 was very smooth considering the weather. Meg is a very good pilot and very knowledgeable about the area. I highly recommend the trip.

I would have to say during the week we stayed in Kauai, this was the best experience we had. The staff were kind and friendly. The helicopter pilot was super nice and informative. We did have an issue with one of the headsets didn't work. The view was incredible. I would give them a 5 out of 5.
Wow! A helicopter ride over Oahu was the perfect way to start our stay in Hawaii. I booked our flight thru Mauna Loa several months in advance as it was an 80th. birthday gift to my husband. Malia greeted us and prepped us for the ride before driving us to meet Lorenzo who was our young but very capable pilot. He made sure we understood the vital safety information before we took off. Lorenzo was very informative and pointed out both natural and man made sites. I chose to fly doors off while my husband preferred doors on. He is a convert and would fly doors off if we take another helicopter tour. You truly have not seen Hawaii until you have seen it from above. Don’t hesitate about booking a flight while in Honolulu. Go online and check out Mauna Loa Helicopters as I am sure you will be thrilled to see Oahu from the air.
Great experience, first time on helicopter tour, we were a little scary but all went great. Our pilot was great, weather was perfect 🙏🏻! With the tour we skipped the volcano day trip, we saw a lot on the helicopter!
