Itinerary
Punta Del Este's port - This is traditionally the finish line when walking through the promenade. You will see fancy restaurants and the iconic viewpoints 'Glorieta de Punta Del Este' seeing sealions + tasting 'pasteles' + spot for pictures of gorriti island.,
Plaza del Vigía is located in the city of Maldonado, Uruguay. It is a square where a tower, an ancient cannon and where “Marco de los Reyes” landmark is displayed, which demarcated the Spanish territories from the Portuguese according to a Treaty of 1750.
One of downtown's historical sites - it is located right in front of Maldonado's Square dating from 1800s, where we can observe the center of the city's movement and everyday life in Uruguay.
The Ralli Museum of Uruguay, located in the city of Punta del Este, is a museum of contemporary Latin American art, one of the most important in the world, and of European art. Founded in 1988, it is the first of the Ralli museums to open its doors.
The Punta del Este Lighthouse is located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, in Punta del Este, Maldonado, Uruguay. It was built in 1860. It is a cylindrical masonry tower, a dome with white and red radial stripes and white buildings 25 meters high at the foot. Materials from Europe were used for its construction.
The hand is a sculpture of five fingers partially submerged in sand, located at stop 1 of Brava beach in Punta del Este, Uruguay. It is colloquially referred to as The Fingers or Man Emerging into Life.
(Optional) - Subject to time availability. This bridge, due to its undulating shape, is among the most famous in the country, and one of the unmistakable emblematic postcards of Punta del Este.
Punta Ballena - This area of the city is much appreciated by locals, as it provides one of the greatest spots for sunsets. The downgoing hill shapes as the flukes of a whale (reason for its name), and is also the host for Casa Pueblo - museum arthouse designed by Carlos Páez Vilaró - a nationwide well-known artist and muralist par excellence. Entry tickets to the museum are not included, but can be purchased directly onsite, or online. https://casapueblo.com.uy/
Casapueblo - In its rooms, paintings, ceramics and sculptures made in different stages of artistic work are exhibited. The Museum has a movie theater, where documentaries about Carlos Paez' life and work are shown. Throughout the route, which includes five rooms and three terraces, the concept of modeled architecture is perceived, whether through its passageways, paths, archways or objects embedded in the walls.
Located in the quaint heart of Punta Del Este´s downtown area (Maldonado), we will visit the 'Dragons Headquarters'. This emblematic stop point takes on important historical significance, as it housed the start of the military career of José Gervasio Artigas - one of the most relevant patriotic figures of Uruguay. Constructed around 1797 with a distinctive architectonical style that makes it stand out from the rest of our stopping points around Punta Del Este.

Bedankt voor de mooie review. Het was een plezier om jullie te mogen begeleiden!
We had booked a private tour of Montevideo for our family of 3 on our South American cruise. Due to weather issues our boat was delayed in leaving Buenos Aires and our visit to Montevideo was postponed a day. I contacted both Viator and Fabio tours immediately asking to move our trip to the following day. Fabio tours told me that was not an option as they had no guide available even though they were still accepting booking for new tours on Viator. So I requested a refund as we were unable to make our tour due to conditions outside of our control, Mother Nature. I accepted that there was no tour and we toured Monetvideo on our own. I requested a refund from Viator and 2 days deliberation I was told that the tour operator denied us a refund. We paid $350 for a tour that did not take place. A guide that did not work. A car that was not necessary and all that was to go with our 6 hour tour. I am outraged that we were denied a refund and would suggest that due to the erratic weather in this part of the world that it would be better to book with a tour operator that is understanding and accepting of these issues and does not penalize the travellers. Unacceptable!
We’re sorry for the frustration this situation caused. As a small local company, we take every booking seriously and reserve the date, vehicle, and guide specifically for each traveler. In this case, the cancellation request was made after the free cancellation period had passed, which is why a refund was not possible under the agreed cancellation policy. We are known for being flexible whenever possible. However, December is peak season in Uruguay, and for many tourism workers it is a crucial period of the year, with very limited availability and commitments made well in advance. This unfortunately makes last-minute changes or refunds extremely difficult. The tour was fully prepared and we were ready to provide the service on the scheduled date. While we understand that cruise itinerary changes can happen, these circumstances are outside our control. We always aim to act fairly and transparently, and to respect the policies agreed upon at the time of booking, which allow small local operators like myself to continue providing personalized and reliable services.
We had booked the tour in punta del Este especially. Within half a day we were able to explore everything worth seeing. Flávio planned the sequence wonderfully. It was a day full of beautiful experiences. However, we found the price for this private tour extremely high.
We really explore many nice places in Punta del Este and around the city within a half day. We had a good time and heard a lot about the history of the city
Thank you for the review.
We took an extra long private tour with Favio and he was very generous with his time. His knowledge of the sites and history was wonderful and he spoke very good English! Thank you Favio for such a wonderful tour and day. We have taken many tours from Viator and the this was one of the best in any country.
Thank you Monty for the review. It was great to have you and i also had a wonderful day with you and Daniel!
We had a wonderful tour with Favio and Paola. They explained the history of the area, took us to very interesting places, incl Casa Pueblo and the promenade. We only had 4 hours, but you can book a tour with them in Montevideo or Punta Del Este for the whole day and they will show you a fun and informative day
Thank you very much for your kind review.
