Description
Joining us, you will learn more about the nearly 50 years of the Vietnam War, as well as historical triumphs and noteworthy bravery moments in Hanoi. You will be guided by local students to historical sites like Ho Chi Minh Complex, Huu Tiep Lake and the Downed B-52, and Hoa Lo Prison in order to experience the pride and spirit of the country. You also can join a workshop to make tire sandals for yourself. By choosing our tour, not only will you have a memorable and personalized experience, but you will also be supporting the education and future of our local students. NOTE: - Most museums are closed every Monday and Friday. - Recommned starting time: • Moring: 9am – 12pm • Afternoon: 2pm – 5pm - Feel free to personalize your itinerary with us to best suit your interests. - Please be noted that no tank tops and shorts (above the knee).

Itinerary
(Schedule is flexible) Our tour guide will pick you up at meeting point then we will move to Ho Chi Minh Museum by taxi or grab. The whole museum is a elaborate description of Ho Chi Minh’s life.
(Schedule is flexible) Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, located in the heart of Ba Dinh Square, is the final resting place of President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved leader of the Vietnamese people. The solemn structure is one of the most important historical and political landmarks in Vietnam, attracting millions of visitors each year who come to pay their respects.
(Optional) Tire sandals were iconic for Ho Chi Minh President during the war. Not only will you have a chance to experience making tire sandals for yourself, but you will also be surprised about the meaning and story behind at Tire Sandal King (Optional) Note: Guides are free but the experience fees are NOT included.
Then we will move to Hoa Lo Prison which ironically nicknamed the ‘Hanoi Hilton’ by US prisoners of war (POWs) during the American War. Most exhibits relate to the prison’s use up to the mid-1950s, focusing on the Vietnamese struggle for independence from France.
Our next two destination is The B-52 Victory Museum Hanoi where are exhibiting: weapons, images, documents, wreckage and many other things that praise the cunning and creative mind of Hanoi’s troops and its residents.

I did the war memorial tour with my partner. We had Chi as our guide and Trinh along as she was training to be a main guide. Both were so friendly and had a lot of really interesting information. We visited the Ho Chi Mihn Museum and Mausoleum (bring long pants/skirt and cover your shoulders so you can enter!!!). We also went to the hoa la prison, which had an intense history. Our guides explained it all so eloquently and obviously had a real passion for it. We went around 8am until 12.30, so to avoid the mid day heat, I would recommend this! The mausoleum is only open in the mornings too. We covered the admission for the prison, the guides gotten free for the other sites so we only had to pay for ourselves there. It was around 40k each, very reasonable. I would really recommend this tour if you're interested in finding out more about Vietnamese history. Thanks Chi and Trinh for a fantastic morning!! We did a mixed tour with another family and explored Ho Chi Minh Museum and Hoa Lo Prison for 5 hours. We learned a lot from our Tourguide Silky and the Subguide. Many texts in the Museum are only in Vietnamese, so it was really helpful to be able to ask so many questions. Silky was very interested in our western point of view on different topics which made for very intriguing conversation.
