Bajra Sandhi Monument architecture is very unique, taking the shape of Bajra or Genta, a bell that used by Hindu Priests during religious ceremonies. It is also a symbol of the bond between males and females that creates prosperity according to the epic that tells the story of the Gods struggle to get the Water of Eternity. Every statue and each carving in the monument compound has its own meaning.
Badung Traditional Market is the biggest market in Bali and always crowded everyday by the local people to buy the daily needs, this market is open 24 hours every day and also many visited by tourist who doing the Denpasar City Tour
Jagatnatha Temple is built in 1953 and is dedicated to the supreme god, Sanghyang Widi Wasa, the supreme of divine gatherings. The name Jagatnatha derives its origin from the Sanskrit word jagat meaning world. Two festivals based on lunar cycles are celebrated here every month. During the days of full moon and new moon, visiting this temple during these times can be a memorable experience. No matter what time you visit this magnificent temple you will always find devotees in prayer.
The museum officially opened for public on 08th December 1932, named the Bali Museum and managed by the Bali Museum Foundation. On 17th August 1945 the Bali Museum was taken over by the Provincial Government of Bali and later on 05th January 1965 it was submitted to the Central Government under Directorate General of Education and Culture Ministry and it was named the Bali Province State Museum.

Local market was very unique. Never seen anything like that,Tampels,nice lunch and Driver Wayan Balik is nice guys and friendly.

Was picked up on time, driver was friendly but his English was very hard to understand, therefore little verbal communication, The car was comfortable until it got hot, then the air condtioning did not do a lot for the back seat. Based on the weather this time of year I would have thought he may have brought a couple bottles of cold water for his guests. We went to a temple and he handed us off to someone else, he was better in English but stated he needed $15 US for him in the middle of the tour then at the end of the tour pretty much demanded $20. This was on top of our "all inclusive" tour. Lunch, which was included, was at a pretty nice place, tempreture control could have been better. We were so hot and uncomfortable we ate very little. At least the water was cold. The temple, market and museum were all non air conditioned which with the car system not cooling enough made it a long hot half day.
Dear Drew Claes, Thank you to spend your time to post a comment on Trip Advisor, Regarding your disappoint during the tour with us we do apologize if you were feel unsatisfied with our driver who take you during the tour, he is our new driver and he still learning English and we hope he will speak English fluently soon. As English is our second language, surely he don not speak it fluently like yours. However, we will train our drivers to be more confident to communicate in English.
An interesting day around the capital city with 4 sights and an extra visit to a batik workshop. Our driver/ guide was informative but we could have learned more. The museum was interesting as was the national independence monument. The market is very much a locals food market, in no way geared to tourists. Lunch was pretty basic at a local Chinese restaurant, not the greatest in flavour but edible. The traffic in Denpasar is insane & we did spend quite a lot of time sat in traffic, but that is inevitable in a capital city. An interesting day out nonetheless the less.

The sightseeing tour of Denpasar was very good. My driver Nengah was very friendly and knowledgeable. His English was good and he drove me safely around the city in the car.
