For example, if you’d like to enjoy Hakone’s stunning views from various angles, you can choose a plan that includes Lake Ashi, the Hakone Ropeway, and Owakudani. If you’re interested in visiting power spots, a plan with Hakone Shrine is recommended. For those who enjoy drinks, we can also arrange a plan visiting Hakone’s wineries or craft breweries. Due to time constraints, we will visit selected recommended spots, and depending on your pick-up location, it may not be possible to cover all the places you wish to see. We enjoyed our trip through Hakone which was truly mesmerising! John was a great guide, always here to help and with a smile on his face. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to spend an unforgettable day in Hakone!
This was a wonderful half day! Perfect for my little guy (almost 5)! Sun was so kind, patient, and nurturing. He ensured he was engaged and learned some much! He taught him how to show respect at each sight. He ensured we utilized our Freepass along the way. He drove us up to the top of the mountain, took us the volcanic site (guided us through the museum), the black eggs were so good, and then we rode the gondola to the pirate ship and he picked us up on the other side of the lake. AND Took AMAZING photos to include Mt. Fuji! We very much enjoyed and made it back to the ryokan for lunch and hot springs. It was a perfect tour after bumping around Japan for a wk. I will be recommending this tour to all my friends and family.
Kumi was a wonderful guide and her English skills are very good. The day was cloudy and rainy and she was open and flexible to modify the initial plans to accommodate for the weather. She took us to a great spot for a cold soba lunch and she interacted really well with my son. Highly recommend doing this in Hakone if you want to get multiple things done in one day.
This tour lacked a lot of educational information. I could have hired an uber to take us to the sights.

We had an amazing private half-day tour around the Hakone area, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Despite a typhoon passing through, we still had a wonderful experience. Our guide, Daisuke, was exceptional. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to cater to all of our needs, making sure we got the most out of the day despite the weather. We rode the Skyrail up to the volcanic area, tried the famous black eggs, visited two beautiful shrines, and saw the iconic torii gate by the lake. Daisuke shared fascinating local history and made the whole tour enjoyable and stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or experience and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hakone.
