Private Guided Walking Tour and Coffee Workshop in Bogota

Description
This unique walking experience is thoughtfully crafted for foreigners and locals in Spanish, English, and Portuguese (We select the language one day before the experience if all participants agree, otherwise I suggest canceling). We utilize information and expertise in specialty coffee to convey the truth. Our goal is to provide an understanding of specialty coffee, offering history, samples of coffee plants, processes, and bean defects, among other aspects, teaching you how to appreciate coffee through various methods, evaluating them, and guiding you in selecting quality beans. The tour includes three stations. We'll be regular customers, not having pre-booked the coffee shops, to impartially assess their service and coffee quality. With the assistance of our coffee experts and feedback from baristas, we're committed to refining this experience. We appreciate any suggestions after the coffee experience because we continuously improve it based on your feedback.

Luis was incredibly knowledgeable and you can tell coffee is his passion. He explained everything thoroughly, from the different ways of brewing your coffee, to how to determine the tastes/sensations you get, the best way of grinding beans, to all of the history behind it. I’d recommend this tour to anyone looking to try a few varieties of coffee and who is interested in learning more about it to perhaps take home and practice making their own improved home cups of coffee.
Dear Sebastian, Thank you for your kind words! It was a pleasure to see how much you enjoyed learning about the world of coffee during your time here in Bogotá. We were so happy to see your excitement as you learned about the different ways to brew, the history of the beans, and how to find those special flavors in every cup. Knowing that you feel ready to take those tips home to make your own perfect morning coffee is exactly why we love what we do. For our team, seeing a guest connect with the craft this way is a wonderful reward. It makes everything we do feel truly worth it. We continue in touch if you need any further recommendation or want to learn more deeply. Happy brewing at home!
An amazing time! We learned so much including a lot of history and how to taste different notes and aromas! Highly recommend.
I'm glad you enjoyed the specialty coffee experience! I approach my work with a strong focus on didactics and passion. In addition to brewing techniques, I also share the legends and official history of coffee from Ethiopia, Yemen, France, the East and West Indies, India, Colombia, Guatemala, and Brazil. We explore how coffee's global expansion brought both positive and negative impacts. I hope to see you again soon for more learning and discovery!
Great experience and very educational. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn more about coffee. Reese is amazing and truly cares about the guest experience.
I'm glad you enjoyed the specialty coffee experience! I approach my work with a strong focus on didactics and a deep passion for coffee. Everything you learn is based on SCA standards, reference books, and the Federación Nacional de Cafeteros de Colombia. I hope to see you again soon for more specialty coffee learning!
I learned to appreciate the complexity and craftsmanship behind a good cup of coffee, and discovered a new level of enjoyment in savoring this aromatic and comforting drink. Experience fully recommended.
The tour is spectacular, you know a lot about coffee and the Guide conveys your passion for the whole process of planting, growing and making this drink.
I participated in this workshop twice. The first time was a private guided walking tour, and the second was a workshop on how to make great coffee at home with friends. Luis is a highly experienced barista, so if you have any customization requests for the experience, be sure to contact him in advance, as he can tailor the experience to your needs. I thoroughly enjoyed both sessions. Luis meticulously prepares all the content and equipment, helping you to understand Colombian coffee. Since he also has experience in cultivation, he can provide insights from seed to cup. He is very knowledgeable about the local coffee scene in Bogotá as well. I’m delighted to have chosen this experience and made a great friend. Highly recommended!
