Your guide will also point out the Swissair Flight 111 Memorial and share stories of local resilience, maritime culture, and the natural forces that have shaped this stunning landscape.
Mahone Bay is a charming coastal town known for its postcard-perfect scenery, artisan boutiques, and laid-back maritime atmosphere. It’s a peaceful, picturesque stop that offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and small-town charm.
Lunenburg is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved examples of a British colonial settlement in North America. As you stroll through the town’s vibrant streets, your guide will highlight its colorful wooden buildings, unique architecture, and deep maritime roots. You’ll learn about the town’s rich history as a fishing and shipbuilding hub—home to the legendary racing schooner, the Bluenose, featured on the Canadian dime. Explore the scenic waterfront, peek into artisan shops and galleries, and visit landmarks like the Lunenburg Academy and St. John’s Anglican Church, known for its beautiful craftsmanship and stories of resilience. Along the way, your guide will share tales of settlers, shipbuilders, and sea captains who helped shape the town’s character, making Lunenburg a fascinating blend of history, culture, and coastal charm.

Our guide Ziyan was very kind, professional and knowledgeable of the area. I do wish we had known how much car riding there was. Everything was quite far apart and we spent more time in the van than we did actually seeing the sites. I would have preferred to know more of that up front and then I would have chosen to tailor our stops a little more custom since we had every seat in the van full with our family. We would have preferred to hit Peggy’s cove and then come back to Halifax and spend more time seeing things closer together rather than spending 4.5 of the seven hours riding.
Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! We’re delighted to hear that you found Ziyan kind, professional, and knowledgeable. 😊 You’re absolutely right — the scenic towns of Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, and Peggy’s Cove are spread out across the South Shore, and travel between them can take some time. We always try to mention this during booking, but your comment is a helpful reminder for future guests who may prefer a shorter, more customized route closer to Halifax. We truly appreciate you touring with us and hope to welcome your family again for a more relaxed Halifax-area experience next time!
Aamir was great! Very knowledgeable about the area. Attended to all our needs. Was very patient with my elderly mother. The fall colors were beautiful!! We loved every part of this day. Thank you Aamir

The fall colours truly make Nova Scotia even more magical this time of year. We appreciate you touring with us and hope to welcome you back again someday!
New England in Canada picturesque! Amir was on time, Drove safely and addressed all of our questions during the drive he filled us in on some important historical dates
Thank you so much for your lovely review! 😊 We’re so glad you enjoyed the beautiful coastal towns and that Aamir made the day enjoyable with his safe driving and local stories. We truly appreciate you touring with us and hope to see you again someday.
Amir was a great tour guide with lots of interesting facts and tidbits about each of the sites we visited. Ovens Park was beautiful, but we didn't have enough time to explore the whole park. We were able to walk the caves trail which was amazing and took us about 45 mins roundtrip. We then headed to Lunenburg and had a great lunch (we bought food from The Fish Shack and was able to enjoy it at The Half Shell Oysters next door - we ordered food there too) but would definitely opt for a quick bite instead of sitting down. Lunch took over an hour so we didn't get to explore the town. Mahone Bay was pretty but would skip if tight on time. Our last stop to Peggy Cove was nice, we've been there before so we didn't spend too much time there.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this thoughtful review! We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the day with Aamir and found his insights and local stories interesting throughout the tour. He’ll be happy to know you appreciated his guiding! Ovens Park truly is a hidden gem, and we agree the caves trail is a highlight. We appreciate your feedback on timing—it’s always helpful for future travelers to know how to balance sightseeing with meals in places like Lunenburg. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back to Nova Scotia for another adventure!
This was a last-minute booking that worked out really well for our group. Easy pickup and timely return to the cruise port. Our guide was Ziyan who knew the roads and places really well. While we had been on several tours to Peggy’s Cove before, Ziyan was the first guide we’ve had to actually walk around town with us and not just take us to the lighthouse. Lunenberg and Mahone Bay were picturesque small towns. While we could have gone to a local restaurant for lunch, the lines were long. So our lobster rolls from the Subway in Lunenberg were great for a delicious quick meal and we sat on the back deck overlooking the harbor and the Bluenose II tall ship. The Ovens Natural Park trail was not too long a walk and not necessarily an easy walk by US Parks standards (uneven surfaces, loose gravel, rough steps/stairs, etc) but the whole area was fascinating and awesome nonetheless. At the end, we were able to add one more thing to the tour and went to visit the cemetery where a lot of the Titanic victims were buried. All in all, an easy booking, a very accommodating guide and just a wonderful day! Thank you!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review! We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your tour. Ziyan will be so happy to know you appreciated not only his driving and knowledge of the area, but also his personal touch in walking with you through Peggy’s Cove—a true local experience! Lunenburg’s charm, Mahone Bay’s beauty, and even a quick lobster roll from Subway on the harbor deck—sounds like you made the most of every moment! We’re especially glad you got to explore Ovens Natural Park and visit the Titanic Cemetery to end the day with something meaningful. It was our pleasure to host you, and we truly hope to welcome you back to Nova Scotia again!

Great trip to see some of the famous Nova Scotia sites. Ziyan was our guide and driver, and he provided a lot of history and fun facts as we drove from place to place. Ziyan also highlighted a number of key spots for pictures which was great.
Thanks so much for your review! We’re happy to hear you had a great day exploring with Ziyan. He really enjoys sharing stories and showing off the best photo spots. Glad you got to see some of Nova Scotia’s highlights—hope we can welcome you back again one day!
This is a good tour if you want to see a lot in one day. We would have liked to stay and explore Lunenburg a bit longer, but ran short of time (mostly because the restaurant we chose for lunch was busy and service slow). Zihan was kind enough to keep us out an extra hour for a small fee. We also shouldn’t have lingered so long at the first stop, Peggy’s Cove. But all in all it was a lovely day. Zihan was super nice and relaxed, and knew the answers to most of our questions.
So glad to hear you had a lovely day with Ziyan! It’s easy to get caught up in the charm of Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg — the hours seem to disappear. We’re happy Ziyan could extend the tour for you so you could fit everything in. Thanks for sharing your experience, and we hope you’ll come back one day to give Lunenburg that extra time it deserves!
