Introduction about myself as a guide and the city centre before start the tour.
First Stop to learn about our local monastery and monk lifestyle in Siem Reap, Cambodia. This will take us around 10 minutes
We will stop here to check out the local shrine and the park where all of the big bats live and we will also check out the local quiet residential areal where the hidden gems are located. Visit local shrine where local people go to pray and blessing by the monks and learn about our ritual of our local culture.
We will walk along this quiet and peaceful neighborhood where we will make a stop to local market so we will also learn about the local way of daily life in this local market. we can even try some local snack or dessert. Here you will see lives view of locals sale their daily products. After we will also check out hidden gem of the tour which is the old 10th century temple located in the local monastery close by along the Siem Reap River.

We did the Private Guided Tour of Siem Reap highlights and hidden gems. What an amazing tour. We toured in a Tuk Tuk to the town centre, saw the bustling food markets, visited two monasteries, one with ruins, a workshop where they make local handicrafts, the King’s Palace and finished up at Apopo Centre where they train rats to detect mines. The excursions was very informative and I would thoroughly recommend.
On our pre cruise extension in Siem Reap, I booked this private tour to see as much of the city as we could and we were not disappointed! Lux made sure we go the most out of our time. We were scoped away in a Tuktuk for a great adventure. He took us to the local market to witness every day life of a Cambodian. Then to check out some Temples and the life of the Buddhist Monks. Followed by A stop at a local artesian shop. Then we got to visit the APOPO center to learn about the Herorats at their contribution to ridding land mines in Cambodia (this was my favorite). And finally a stop at a local grocery store to pick up some essentials. Lux was fabulous, fun and very accommodating. I highly recommend him for your tour of Siem Reap!
What a great day. Hidden Gems alright. My guide was great and super knowledgeable about all of the sights. The guides that were provided at some attractions were also great. Tuk Tuk driver was good, no rush and all care, kept me refreshed with lots of water. A great way to see the city. I look now know where to explore next

not the best visit and wished they made it clear that some of the hidden gems would be closed due to the new year celebrations. had I known, i would have canceled and rescheduled for a different day. the tour was 2 hours max and went to a 3-4 places. wish there was better communication between the tour operator and myself to be transparent about the expectations of the tour. was really looking forward to it but my expectations were too high.
