The main prayer hall is dominated by one of the world’s largest chandeliers. The Sheikh Zayed Grand is the eighth largest in the whole world and can house 40000 pilgrims at one go. It is replete with architectural marvels, spectacular chandeliers and floral mosaics and gold and silver artefacts. A wonderful and enormous carpet adorns the mosque floor. The carpet measures a whopping 35 tons and measures 60,570 square feet. It is an Iranian carpet and it took almost two years to weave that. You also about the Islamic tradition and culture and also about the late president in whose memory the mosque has been built.

Communication for this tour was fantastic.. There was no doubt whatsoever as to time of pick up and details of what to wear to the mosque. He was on time and so very informative during the ride there and at the mosque. He also too great pictures for us. The tour itself was wonderful. The Grand Mosque is a must see.
