True Luxury

Our trip to Milford Sound was nothing short of spectacular. We had heard it was beautiful, but nothing could have prepared us for just how breathtaking it would be in person. Many people hope for clear skies when visiting Milford Sound, but we were lucky enough to experience it on a rainy day and honestly, we wouldn't have changed a thing. The rain transformed the landscape into a living masterpiece, with countless waterfalls cascading down the cliffs in every direction. Around every corner there was another incredible view, and it felt like something out of a movie. Once we arrived in Milford Sound, we boarded our cruise and enjoyed a delicious lunch while taking in some of the most stunning scenery we've ever seen. The combination of towering mountains, dramatic waterfalls, and the peaceful beauty of the fiord made this a truly unforgettable experience. A special thank you to our driver, Duncan, who was fantastic from start to finish. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared interesting information throughout the journey that helped us better appreciate the region. He also made several stops at absolutely gorgeous locations along the way, giving us plenty of opportunities to take photos and soak in the scenery. The luxury sprinter van was another pleasant surprise. For a long day of travel, it was incredibly comfortable, with power outlets to keep our phones charged, cup holders, spacious seating, and everything needed to make the 12-hour journey enjoyable and relaxing. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand. If you're considering a Milford Sound tour, don't let a rainy forecast discourage you—it may end up being the most magical part of the experience.
