Louise was an excellent guide, both interesting and fun. I thoroughly recommend this walking tour 👌
This was a great tour covering a quieter part of Glasgow and very scenic area. We started at the botanic gardens and walked our way through the beautiful Glasgow University grounds, and ended the tour at the Museum. Sarah was a great guide, and her background in history provided a lot of facts that made the tour more interesting.
Great overview of west end including botanical gardens and university. Explained neighbourhoods and museums.
Great inside look into the most fun part of Glasgow with Katrina. She was amazing -fun and informative. A highlight of our 2 weeks in Scotland.
Louise, the tour guide, was absolutely wonderful. She was extremely knowledgeable, informative, and entertaining. Not only did she provide interesting historical information, she also described the facets which make Glasgow and Glaswegians unique. It was our first time in this city, and we loved it!!!
We had an exceptional private tour with Lauren - learned so much history and folklore about Glasgow and the University of Glasgow. Lauren was so knowledgeable and so lovely to spend time with, and we loved hearing about her family connection to the University. We really enjoyed Ashton Lane and dined afterwards at the Ubiquitous Chip (had the Haggis and it was so good!) HIGHLY recommend this tour of the West End!!
What a deal! Preregister for a walking tour, pay when you arrive, and spend the time walking with Karen who not only has a passion for her city, but can communicate with a group clearly and captivatingly.
Hi there, Thank you for leaving us a positive review. We're glad you enjoyed your tour with Caron and had a good afternoon in Glasgow!
I had literally just arrived in the city so this tour was a wonderful way to get my feet on the ground. Our guide was funny, informative, and gave a lot of historical and cultural background to wherever we went. If you're looking for a good way to kick off a Glasgow visit this is a great place to start.
Hi Kevin, Thank you very much for your kind review! We're very glad you enjoyed the tour and hope you had a lovely stay in Glasgow! Jean
The tour guide was a nice gal, but the tour was definitely rushed, we were basically jogging on ice and over red lights. Some of the impprtant bits of info were left out. We felt cheated. Would not recommend. Unfortunately, there's no Sandeman's New Europe in Glasgow.
Hi Maja, We're very sorry you didn't enjoy the tour and apologise for the fast pace. We'll take your feedback on board and make sure this doesn't happen again. If you have any more feedback please do email us at walkingtoursinglasgow@gmail.com.
I took this walking tour, as I only had one day in Glasgow and wanted to see as much of the city as possible...and they delivered. Jean, our guide, is a student at Glasgow University and was friendly, knowledgeable, funny and engaging. The tour is about 3 hours covering the heart of the downtown. The group was quite large for a walking tour, but Jean managed to keep everyone together and engaged. She offered something for everyone...history, architecture, pop culture and current events. After the tour, I asked her how to get to Kelvingrove Museum, and she showed how how to navigate the Glasgow subway and where to get off. Talk about going the extra mile. The tour was only 8 British Pounds, about $11 US, a fabulous bargain. I can unequivocally recommend this tour, at least if it is with Jean.
