This was a great walking tour of the Gardens, University and Museum. Zhanna is a great story teller and she brought life to the history of Glasgow and interesting details on all of the sites. A thoroughly enjoyable day!
If this is your first time in Glasgow, skip The Red Bus, the generic walking tours, the mainstream touristalia. Zhanna’s Glasgow Private Tour is epic and unbeatable. I say this with conviction, as my husband and I travel the world with some of the most elite tour providers —so we are spoiled by getting extremely knowledgeable and entertaining guides. Let me assure you - Zhanna is top notch! In our tour of The West End of Glasgow, we learned early history of Glasgow, all the cool Victorian era scandals of the West End, the science history of U. Glasgow, delightful art history lessons of the Kelvingrove that ties in with the history, of Scotland a superb introduction to artist/designer Mackintosh and pointers to the hip restos in tiny streets you simply could not discover yourself. (Thank you, Zhanna. Bothy’s was amazeballs.) Due to time, I am only telling you 5% of what she showed us. Undoubtedly, this tour concierge is the best gleaming jewel of Glasgow tourism one can find!
Thank you Lisa so much it means a lot!
This was the second walking tour we did in Glasgow. As much as we loved the first one in the City Center, I think we liked this one a bit better. The West End in Glasgow is fabulous and the campus of the University of Glasgow is incredible. Again, Zhanna made the tour and we can’t thank her enough for two fabulous days in Glasgow.
If you take a private tour like Nick and Zhanna’s, you get such a great feel and local knowledge of Glasgow. It’s a rich city in culture and history. Zhanna has studied history and stories that enriched my feeling of the city. She took extra time…four hours! Time flew by! Great tour even in the rain (with umbrellas)!
I highly recommend this tour operation! If I could give 6 stars I would! They met us at our hotel lobby (a party of 5 - 2 adults and 3 young adults) and they were on time, cheerful, knowledgeable, and had a plan for our time together. They were willing and able to change course (such as stopping for coffee). Zhanna is an absolute gem and has accumulated so much interesting knowledge of the history of Glasgow as well as stories of Scottish history. She satisfied our Art student daughter and the history buffs in our group as well. She is extremely warm, competent, flexible and very knowledgeable about history and Scottish art and architecture. An excellent value and lovely afternoon!
Karol, that’s been an amazing day with you and your family! Thank you for your warm welcome and i hope you guys have a great time here! All the best wishes to you all!
Zhanna was wonderful! We took the Glasgow City Tour and the Culture and Arts tour with her. She was informative, showed us all we wanted to see, and answered all our questions. She even helped us with suggestions on where to eat authentic Scottish food! By the end of the first tour, she felt like a long lost friend. We chatted not only about Scotland and it’s wonders, but about each other’s lives. I would highly recommend picking Zhanna and Glasgow Private Tours for an intimate and informative view of the city!
